When I was 9 I found my mother watching Mother Angelica. And I said “that’s what I want to be when I grow up!” And my mother said “a nun?” And I said no! A nun with a talk show. I’ve been a cloistered Carmelite 14 years. Still waiting for that talk show! Love you Mother Angelica. Rest In Peace.

I just watched this episode the other day. This is the happiest that I ever saw her on any of her shows and I've watched about 150 of her shows now. She was a wonderful nun and Mother. I wished I knew her back in the 90's but I was in high school and didn't really know anything back then, but I have to say after my aunt who mentioned her to me which I'm so thankful for because Mother Angelica even though she is no longer living she has changed my life for the greater good and is a great Saint and teacher. Her legacy lives on and she lives in all of her supporters hearts as well as mine. Love you Angelica, I'm sure you are very happy without all of your pain that you had throughout your entire life, but most I know you are happiest because you are with God. Love you Mother Angelica I can't wait to see and meet you when I enter the Kingdom Of Heaven, that is after I meet God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit first of course. :)
God truly blessed Mother Angelica. Her wit and wisdom gives me great comfort. I regret not following her on EWTN while she was alive. Via RU-vid I now watch any and everything that I can find. I have come to love her dearly and have the utmost respect for her and her great achievements. She lives forever in my heart. This video just made my day!💕🙏😂

Too bad the catholic church has become the subject of controversy will all those cases of sexual abuse. I think she would be more shocked by all the bad crap Conservatives are doing these days.
I remember a friend of mine had Mother on the TV in his bedroom while I visited him as his house in Shelburne,VT.I'll be looking for to seeing Mother and my friend in Heaven.It helped me to become a Catholic.

I sure miss her! She was such a hoot and I loved her so much.. and I'm not even a catholic.. ❤️ When I was gong through one of the hardest times in my life I could turn her on and regardless of her topic, it always gave me peace!
FYI, she's not really referring to political liberals when she talks about liberals. She's talking about liberals within the Church. The types who campaign for female priests and whatnot.
Reminds me of the first time I saw altar girls: 1970!! in Montréal Quebec. Twin girls with long blond hair flanking the Cardinal at Sunday Mass. In those days, shock and awe was de rigueur. So that had to be a good 25 years before Mother Angelica said this !

Jokes aside I really had a lot of respect for her over the years, she helped a lot of people in distress whether it was emotional, sickness, or finanacial. Never talked down her critics, just a nice prayer and well wishes.
The context is that the Vatican published a document giving permission for bishops to allow female altar servers. As what Mother Angelica joked, that's one of the few documents accepted by liberal catholics without dissecting (or sometimes even ignoring).

Back in the day, the purpose of altar servers was to foster vocations to the priesthood. Unfortunately, that has gone by wayside. Regardless of the fact that we now have female altar servers, there is no reason why the role of altar servers cannot be used to foster vocations to the religious life in general and or to the priesthood for males.

This was a bit of an inside joke. She'd always bring up "liberals" (meaning those within Christian institutions who seek to modernize them in blasphemous ways) and admonish them for what they were doing. I agree in that I don't think this was AS funny as Mother did, but if you had listened to her go on about them for years, the humor would stick more.
