And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what perfection(or close to it) looks like. Absolutely beautiful design, accentuated by that color. Orgasmic sound, without being obnoxious. Luxurious and comfortable, and yet sporty. Mike, may that Quattroporte bring you a lot of joy.

I would actually recommend against it now to be honest, and I'll be putting out a video on the channel soon about the best and worst things of owning one. My biggest recommendation by far for any potential Maserati buyer is - *never* buy a Cambiocorsa gearbox car. If you want a QP, get the ZF transmission from 2009 onward. I sold this car (Cambio box) after three months of ownership due to primarily the gearbox. The ZF is far superior, but you'll have to pay more for it as it's a newer car.

I'm a big Maserati fan...I have a qp gts 2011 and a 2015 Mc convertible...these are two of the greatest cars ever in terms of how they make you feel, styling, sound and exclusivity. Most people are just about the numbers and misunderstand these cars! Congrats on your beauty!

Enjoying my QP5 after a year of ownership. Did have a dashboard full of warning lights but now all sorted, mostly dry/worn out connections. Love the way it howls! 💯

Enjoyed it while I had mine, but ultimately only had it for 2 months due to the gearbox failing and milky oil. Got a Jag XKR now which delivers everything I wanted from this but without the expensive parts and issues 😄

@@HSGAutomotive also had a gearbox ‘failure’ but it was the pump which operates the automatic clutch, so easy replacement using Fiat parts. Also have an XFR5.0 which is a trans-continental flyer!

@@themartino100 Ah Nice, I reviewed an XFR last year and gave it my car of the year award. Hard to decide between that and my XKR when buying, but ultimately went for the sleeker shape. My gearbox issue was odd. Could hear the F1 pump working just fine, but wouldn’t engage drive or reverse at all, only roll in neutral.

@@HSGAutomotive ... probably wasn’t working well enough to power the clutch.. it’s actually a common fault. The original pump(s) wear out.

astront917 Nice. I believe the newer ones are more reliable, since mine unfortunately wasn’t, lol. Still loved it, but ended up keeping my Touareg V10 instead

Perfect Potential Gearbox broke, would’ve been 6k to fix, and the cylinder head was on the way out after two months, 7k to fix. Wasn’t worth it given the car was worth 7.5k to begin with

Perfect Potential Hard to recommend it after that tbh. I’m looking to get a Jag XFR next, but in the QP’s price range I’d recommend a late 2000’s Jag XK, or a Mercedes E55 AMG from the late 90’s. I’ve done reviews for both of those on the channel if you click the link in the description. XK review is going up today in fact

Amazing engine, wish there was a manual box option or maybe a more responsive DCT developed for it. It would suit the engine's character more. Still a great car, such a sleek design. Incredibly elegant big 4 door.

@@gursimmeren123 Worth checking out my review of the 2009 ZF facelifted model which I've recently purchased myself. Learned a lot since my time owning this Cambiocorsa era version. The gearbox in particular is vastly improved.

Based on my experience with it vs the AMG's I've reviewed on the channel, I'd go CLS. I've considered one myself as well in fact. Both are expensive if they break, but the Mercedes is less likely to do so.

Got rid of it after 2 months, gearbox went kaput. Ended up getting a newer 2009 ZF facelift model last year and it was infinitely better.

So, here I am planning at buying a Maserati. I was thinking of the GranTurismo, but it's a bit more costly. The Quattroporte is a saloon and would be a nice introduction to Maserati. My Jag S-type mixed consumption is 20mpg right now, so this would not be much of a bump up, but this has waaay more power, sounds so wonderful, and is so beautiful. Mmmm..tingling idea..

I’d use a lot of caution before buying one. I sold this one a year ago after it was too unreliable and expensive to fix. It’s a great car, until it isn’t, then it’s a nightmare, lol

You have a lovely car i would love to buy one but they are expensive on fixes from what I've heard, i have a seat leon 07 plat, she drinks like a alcoholic the other day drove 2 hours and back on a 210 mile drive and it cost me a tank of fuel averaging about 30mpg on the motorway so petrol doesn't worry me am used to refilling but the fixes of it when it goes wrong wont be the same for a seat and a Maserati haha

Yeah I ended up getting rid of the Maser and kept my Touareg V10 instead. The VW has been far superior.

@@M1.942 Yeah I still love Maserati, but I’m not buying another one anytime soon. My gearbox stopped engaging drive or reverse, and the cylinder head gasket was on the way out. Something like 7-10k to fix overall. Not worth it to me.

Really depends on the generation. The facelift version from around 2011 or so is better, and probably the most recent ones even more so, but mine wasn't reliable. First couple of months it was fine, but I ended up selling it and keeping my Touareg V10 instead.
