Teams at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans are preparing the core stage of the agency’s SLS (Space Launch System) for shipment to the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The 212-foot-tall core stage and its four RS-25 engines will help power Artemis II, the first crewed mission of NASA’s Artemis campaign. In this video, watch as crew remove the external access stands, or scaffolding, before moving the rocket hardware to another area of the facility.

They are just engines. I'm not seeing people grieving over the countless other rocket engines on other expendable rockets.

If they have to wait for SpaceX to come up with Artemis III for December 2025 these guys are out of a job for at least the next 5 musk years. To be fair to musk his reliance on Ketamine is not the holdup as he is not a rocket engineer, he employs rocket engineers to do the job for him and head of propulsion has gone off into the sunset, and he wasn't alone. ouch, better make that 10 years.

They are looking at alternative missions for Artemis 3 if HLS takes too long.
