That Lange is incredible. Alas, I have champagne tastes on a kool-aid budget.

Totally get that. And WHY!!! Must we all suffer these low beat 3 hertz “PowerMatic” movements? Anyone have an opinion on who/what/where can 28,800 bph ETA movements be found? Thanks and cheers!

The Tournek Rayville really catches my eye. One can have the look for less than the $$ an original would cost (if an original could even be found)!

Consistently one of the best watch channels out there. Interesting topics and not the usual Rolex worshipping that is prevailant on so many channels.
@nick4uuk

Rolex worshipping is what's drawn me away from some beautifully shot channels. After the gloss wears off the content is generally thin on the ground. This channel, however, is packed for information and variety. The thinking man's watch channel!

@@nick4uuk So true, sad that people limit their choices based on other people's perceptions of what is a hot watch.

The Tornek- Rayville with a Seiko movement for $1000? Geez, get a Steeldive for $175 and invest some money.

A ripped-off, copied near-counterfeit vs. a Phoenix of a storied brand. Yea, no. Don't settle. Be better than that, friend.

@@marcelodietrich8674 Yes, the Chinese company who have the rights to build Seiko powered replicas of a 60 year old Blancpain is a "Phoenix Rising."

@@marcelodietrich8674 LOL you mean fake brand history right? Smiths, Nivada, they all use this fake history strategy to charge more money.

I always enjoy Armand’s videos. I like the look of the Tornek-Rayville, I like divers and military style watches with black faces. I wonder if Vostok makes something which looks like a Blancpain 😉

Well I did a domain research, and this Tornek is just a rebrand of MKii by William Yao. It doesn't even say where it's made so other than movement, I guess it's made in China.

Another great production, but you can only review what's out there and that's a summer of underwhelming 'heritage' editions. Someone else's heritage, obv.

This watch has no connection to Blancpain. No connection to the Tornek family. The vendor has snatched the name and is selling a watch which pretends to be something that it’s not.

Did you bother to watch the video, money had nothing to do with it, beside Blancpain's are not cheap.
@swilkobarfingtoniii1642
@swilkobarfingtoniii1642 3 года назад
@@garyboyle695 - In the 50's a Blancpain was a $60 watch. A Rolex was $85 and a top Bulova was 10 bucks more than that. Cheap is a relative term, especially in the context of time.
@garyboyle695
@garyboyle695 3 года назад
@@swilkobarfingtoniii1642 All your point proves is that Rolex have always been overpriced for an inferior product. Submitting a dive watch for professional military divers with a polished case just about sums them up.
