I believe her answer could have been much better because that law was just passed a few days prior to the competition and having such a question at a beauty pageant is a sure event!!

I am not in support of such violence answer. If killing a person is a crime than killing an unborn baby too is a crime. When we speak of saving girl child, she is just in support of killing a child. When it is the time of doing fun, then she will not think of her body, but as soon as she becomes pregnant by mistake, now she will think of her body. She has a very knowledge of biology. Once she conceives, it's not only her body but also another body is inside her which is innocent. Shame on all those people who are clapping for such mean answers.

@Sayma Khan every state can make its own decision after the bill was passed. Most states who have banned abortions have exceptions for incest, rape and minors. Some states have heart beat bill under this it allows abortions for all women before the baby has heart beat.

It’s not an unborn baby. It’s a damn fetus with no consciousness whatsoever. What her answer means is that a woman should have the choice to keep the baby or not. For your kind information being pro choice doesn’t mean supporting abortion by all means. It means that when a woman is raped or pregnant under circumstances where she can’t possible take care of a child she should always have the choice to go for an abortion. Abortions are also not allowed after 2 months or so. One thing people like u should know is that abortions will ALWAYS happen. But with legalization of abortions comes SAFE abortions. If you legally forbit abortion they are still going to happen but in an unsafe way

Abortion is a women's legal right. No person other than the women herself has any say on her abortion and btw the foetus won't fcking feel a thing cuz it's not even formed when abortion is done at the 1 to 24 weeks. So abortion is not the killing of anything. And the irony that it comes from a woman who should be with other women.

When a woman goes ahead and has a baby without the consent of a man and then accepts "Child Support" although he would have not wanted the child. Then a women does not have the right to terminate a pregnancy unless it is due to medical reasons and may affect the health of the mother or child or vice versa. No one has the right to kill an unborn child if they are growing healthy within the womb of the expectant mother.

While I agree with her answer, this is not a Miss India/Miss World level response. She isn’t eloquent at all. I’ve watched her speech at from the Head to Head challenge and it’s so disappointing, especially when you hear the way the other women speak. She hesitates so much when she tries to get her point through and it just comes out so bland and boring. I’m sorry to say this but India is not going to win Miss World 2024, and by the looks of it, I think she’ll barely make it to the top 25

It is better to not give birth at all than to raise a child in poor financial conditions or when you are not ready because that will end up traumatising the poor kid. Abortion is not murder cuz it is the foetus we are killing not the fully formed baby

Abortion should not be encouraged. Stop thinking about the society and culture. The child is innocent. There is an innocent being inside. Ah yes, the quintessential pagent type questions- what's your stance on abortions, gender equality, world hunger, child education, climate change, etc ....followed by pre-packaged answers from contestants. Of course, as part of their 'preparation' for the event, they are coached as to what are likely questions or questions in a similar vein and what would be a pleasing or acceptable answer to the judges and how to deliver that answer. Nothing against this- just saying. Remember also that these contestants are young, how much can you expect from people at that age on such complicated and serious topics? Of course, it will be pre-packaged cliches. It's not much about content of answers anyway, its more presentation style, confidence of delivery and poise under pressure - these things is what will get you in the favour of judges.

Yeah you are right if you want to watch real content like this not reel than prefer interview videos of upsc aspirants. These questions are part of pageants in order to assess their confidence and knowledge.
