Ogmios, in a weird way is like Daylyt. His reputation proceeds him, and his persona is somewhat comedic which disarms people. As a result they actually miss the density of a lot of his bars. I can imagine it being even harder for an american audience not quite tuned to the British dialect and having to learn it at the same time - but Ogmios is actually on another tier altogether, easily top 5 in the UK. Of course, stylistically him and Daylyt have nothing in common, but this 'plight' of being some of the funniest, even silliest MC's in their respective leagues unfairly detracts from the weight of their pens. They could arguably be the best. I'd like to see more Ogmios on WATCH because if we can get past the boring 'tea and crumpets / can't understand you' standard shit, Ogmios is actually the litmus test for BARS, not jokes.
Great breakdown of OG. I have his penmanship up there with Caddy 3.0 (R.I.P). I think OG v DIALECT would be a good one to analyse - 2 heavy UK hitters.. But I'd like to see more OG... He zipped up O'Shea, Eek, Matter - top battlers.. He's never been bodied - maybe Quill edged him.. He got a lot closer than Soul did to Real Deal, with that infamous Extra Terrestrial bar. I'm gutted that he's jacked in battling - I messaged him to find out, but the replay value he offers is still there I suppose. It's a shame that Head ICE never happened...Strangest match up of all time, but OG would have smashed it!
I still come back to this, being in the UK, even before covid and shit, the scene wasn't as big as it was. So it's great watching this and seeing the respect to both Cee and Og. Great battle, great watch and your thoughts insights into the perfomances from all you guys.
Great battle, Cee killed it but I gotta give it to Ogmios, might be his best performance. Ogmios the kinda guy who the more you watch of him and know him the more you like him
Cee had alot more content and flow to the point where some stuff gets lost, og has the slow style funny whimsical line followed by room shakers!! Dope match up
Nahh you didn't catch the insanity bar. Insanity was a weight loss program that worked so well that people would be left with excess skin because it didn't have to stretch back to normal cos the fat was being burned so quickly.

i was going to post that i had overstated the result as cee was good. at the time it came out it seemed brutal (ogmios was on the come up & the crowd were loving him). i do think it was 3-0 but cee did put up a good fight, & at the time it was 1 of the best battles from df.
