There is no such thing as a president's trophy curse. The reason why number one teams get eliminated a lot of the time is because they roll into the postseason way overconfident. Especially when they dominate the regular season. Look what happened to the Bruins last season. I don't think that'll happen at all with the New York Rangers. They take one game at a time and although they haven't been perfect they still set a franchise record for points in a season and they finished the season in the top of the league. I think this is their year for sure. But only time will tell.

When he said he was doubtful about the Rangers matching up with Florida, I found it a bit odd, because they gotta get through Carolina first, and Carolina is the scariest team in the East, if you’re the Rangers. As a Rangers fan, I hope the Islanders take that series to 7 games, and pummel Carolina every single game. And then need the Rangers to sweep whoever makes the second WC, which will probably be the easiest team to beat out of all first round series’. I’m hoping for the Flyers to pull it off, as they seem like the easiest out.
