What? No! No! No! This video doesn't show the whole interaction. I'm so upset with Dr. Rashad for posting this small clip and making it seem that the captain was wrong. He was NOT! This woman had a hat on that said F YOU, but it was spelled out. The flight attendants asked her THREE TIMES to take it off. The captain had requested that. She rebuffed them and she got nasty when they explained why she had to remove the hat and the rules that allow them to ask her to remove it. Then, the captain came back and he was frustrated because this woman had started getting nasty with the flight attendant. You don't see that in this small clip of the longer video. The woman was 100% wrong! You're an adult. No one should have to tell you not to wear curse words on your clothes and yes, Delta's policy allows them to remove you from a flight if you have on bad clothing.

@user-ew6jy9mo4r Honestly the captains usually wants no parts of the issue. If they say I don't want them to fly a redcoat is called to remove the pax and deal with that part. If they don't follow my request corperate security and the Police are called in. The captain is usually the first line of defense. The lady removed her hat at that point it should have been if you put it back on we will return to the gate to remove you and that's it. He continued to chastise her and that's why it was blown up. I'm not saying his thought process was wrong but his delivery was.

Incorrect. First hand, I've seen a guy wearing an f Joe Brandon hat get removed from a flight for refusing to take it off. Wearing profanity, regardless of the context, is against the airliner's ToS you sign when you buy your plane ticket. Go on a flight smelling like Body Odor, wear a shirt with a lewdly dressed anime girl on it, wear a hat with profanity on it, go ahead, but be ready for a stern talking to from either the crew or the police, and the option to remove the item, or you're off the flight, no refund. You agree to the ToS, you follow it. All airliners.
