Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended the farm laws during his reply to the debate on motion of thanks to the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha. PM Modi said that all parties have at some point accepted that there is a need for change in the agriculture sector. He said that while it is fine to question the government those parties should also explain to farmers the need for change in the rules.
