Unless you no longer have an artistic desire to write Bobby Duke, do what makes you happy first and foremost but please be aware that we all love Bobby Duke and would be delighted if you continue including him, but understanding if you don't
@@Oldage429 I would like to formally distance myself from this statement by the traitor Mecka. Matt, I don't give a shit about your artistic fulfilment. You will continue giving us Bobby Duke content until one of us dies or suffer consequences too terrible for the human imagination to contemplate.
The weirdness you feel about Bobby Dook being so popular is part of his appeal? I genuinely don't want to see you suffer, Matt. But you being entirely flummoxed by his popularity gives me a weird kind of creative schadenfreude about watching what one has created take over and become a the monster he was created to be
You know what is weirdly toku in a totally non-toku genre? CRACK from 2000. It's a "hood" action film about a siege on a crack house "bank" and it has fireworks explosions, sparkler guns / cannons and the weirdest: miniatures on a diorama - like a kaiju movie. It's on Tubi now. It's 💯😙👌🏽 insane (gory, too!)
I dunno, sounds like a sex thing. EDIT: Wait hold on this sounds dope as hell. Where can I find this movie? I should absolutely watch it and then get my friends to watch it as well
Looks like its rentable via Amazon, RU-vid, Google Play, and Vudu. It may be having a limited theatrical release as well, not that I'd recommend that if you haven't had your second Covid vaccination shot yet.
i can't believe this is a 2020 feature. what a gift, and yes actively looking it up right now. also, i love bobby dook and i am compelled to hit the like every time he tells me to. don't you dare take him away from us
Same! I was convinced immediately after the scene where PG talks about love being like showing your enemy's spine to their grieving family. Just finished watching the movie, and it was an absolute riot.
My moviewatch group just got done watching this, and I cannot overstate how much Matt is NOT overselling this movie. It was one of the most fun movies I've watched in years. Seriously, watch this thing.
Ah hah, a nod to Wishmaster/wet puppets. This all seems to be a little too convenient. I’m on to you Matt, lemme find out you had ANY involvement in the production of this film....
This has rapidly become my favorite channel. I’m not even big into horror movies, but boy does Scaredy Matt make me think I absolutely could get into it.
I stumbled upon this during the lockdown days when anything new on Amazon Prime was in play, and it was such a joy. Not just the movie, but the feeling of happening upon something truly special out of the blue.
the sheer disappointed dad energy at the end is unparalleled. it caused me physical pain. thank you matt good job i wish beyond wish i had the attention span for literally anything other than minecraft rn so i could watch that movie it sounds dope as hell. mayhaps i can convince my brain next time i am very high
Hey Matt, I was having an apocalyptically bad day and this video brought me just a little light in all that darkness, thank you truly, you're work just makes me feel better.
Matt asked me "What are you still doing here?" I, with almost perfect timing, said "I'm waiting for Bobby Dook!" And then he replied as if we were in the same room. Mind. BLOWN.
Watched PG for the first time yesterday and literally said out loud “I can watch this everyday for the day of my life” Tube-Man gave me all the feelings. And every second Melted Cop was on screen was *chef’s kiss* 🖤
Matt, I just wanted you to know that the Bobby (Robert?) Duke section had me laughing out loud. Not like, snorting a little bit or chuckling, but laughing loudly enough that my wife asked if I was okay from downstairs. Keep doing what you're doing, I appreciate the hell out of it.
I saw this movie, debated on watching and then passed. You have officially made me rethink that Matt. I'm gonna go watch Psycho Goreman now. Thanks for the vid.
When Matt said to look the puppet in the eyes, I was fully expecting it to be a segue into an Eyeball Zone segment, forgetting which channel I was watching...
I came back to leave a comment after actually watching PG, and Jesus christ it was everything I've ever wanted in a movie. Thank you so much for putting it on my radar.
Randomly picked this movie to watch with friends the other day knowing nothing about it. What an unexpected joy this movie was! I particularly enjoyed how much PG sounded Andrew Divoff playing the djinn.
Me and Some Pals just watched it, it is one of the best movies ever made, it is Mandy tier. THERE IS SO MUCH ABOUT THIS MOVIE THAT IS GOOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I CARE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH, I CARE PG SO MUCH.
So I didn't watch this movie until AFTER watching Psycho Goreman with my family this weekend, and gosh, this was a trip. Glad Bobby Duke seems cheerful today what with all of the hard times he has experienced.
I have seen the trailer and it seems rather spiritually in line with "Turbo Kid", which is a high-gore post-apocalypse adventure movie that I highly recommend.
I genuinely want to see this director do a full on Heavy Metal-esque OTT grimdark space opera. The brief glimpses we get of Psycho Goreman's history were AMAZING. He could absolutely pull it off. And doing the movie on a low budget with 80s-style SFX would be totally on-point.
I genuinely thought Matt was just gonna keep starting at me for the remaining full minute of the video and I was so in for just staring back until he was done.
Can vouch. If you have fond memories of Cannon or Troma studio films, you will most likely love Psycho Goreman. Although personally, I did feel like it started to run out of steam in the last ten minutes or so. The final battle is a bit too knowingly silly while going on too long, and I had very little investment in who won, so I started to check out. But that's a minor knock against a movie that's still at least 90% pure gory joy. (Also, why is no one talking about how PG spends a good chunk of the movie inexplicably dressed like Alan at the start of Jurassic Park?)
Instantly became one of my favorite movies. This definitely has a place on my shelf. I put it somewhere between evil dead 2 and deathgasom. Aka heavy metal apocalypse.
My friend, you just got a sub simply for showing me this incredible movie that I have to now see. Better yet Nova seed caught my attention too now. Thank you for this video.
Watched it the other day for the first time and am hooked. I bought the vinyl a few days later (from Waxwork). Both are the heckin' best. If you don't like it, you know what you can do...
I watched it last night. It's very entertaining. Gory but harmless. Seems custom-made for 40+ guys who used to watch silly horror comedies when they were kids in the 80's. I liked it.
hello mildred it's me again. I'm so glad you recommended this movie because it's now one of my letterboxd top four and I forced my brother and my friend to watch it. it brings me so much joy. my heart fills with love at the mention of this movie.
