Just to clarify, is the watch shops that are the weirdos. Is less than 10 yrs ago where the watch shops starting to take over this mall. Before then, this mall is known for toys and air rifles for a long time (at least as long as I remember). Back in the day not many people walk around this side of MK as that's where all the funeral shops are as is right opposite the hospital. My parents actually lives upstairs from this mall for the last 13 yrs. I still remember it was my dad's friend who opened one of the first watch shop there, the one you walked passed London watches which is now on a different location in the mall due to rent increase.
Thanks for bringing me back to MK watch safari through watching your channel. It's not easy to find such a place selling so many 2nd hand watches in EU/UK...
waking up 0400 here in the hague, way too early. And after some exercise and being bored this pops up in my yt. Very relaxing before heading out to work ❤
It's still a mad price, just like paying over 10k for a sub, just because of a dial or bezel colour. I love them but it's just silly use of money if you're collecting. If you just want a couple of watches, whatever, pay up, but for me the maths don't add up
Another Rolex doesn't hurt ;) This never gets old 💯💯💯. Keep it coming‼️‼️‼️This never gets old 💯💯💯. Keep it coming‼️‼️‼️This never gets old 💯💯💯. Keep it coming‼️‼️‼️
Great update. Although I think you had a little too much caffeine before this Safari - a little jumpy. That first Rolex - section dial - very unique. Anyone know the red number and yrs of mfg?
Bro, I always wondered how to know if the watches sold in Hk are real and not replicas. Cause close proximity to china and there are many replicas from there
@@eyeheartsushi2212 watches, like any luxury good, have little intrinsic value and are only worth what people are willing to pay. And that appears to be not very much at the moment.
I really love your watch safaris uptick! Your commentary is the best. Have you ever been to Watchesmiles while on Safari? Any Thoughts? Keep up the good work uptick and remember your morning routine is important!
Hello! I will be in HK this autum. Do you have any tips on shops where I can find cheaper watches like around 10000-15000HKD? Maybe SInn, Hamiltons or maybe Seikos? Thank you!
Yes. Money printing about to resume and potentially BTC spike after the halving - I expect Rolex (steel sports) grey market prices to start back up. Of course in Mr. Uptick’s region, maybe not - CHN implosion imminent.
@@WestCoastAce27 totally agree. Crypto good after q1 2024. GBTC then exhaust selling. Halvening. Ath early 2025. Then 4 year cycle over. Rinse and repeat
It’s a buyer’s market right now. Prices are still dropping. These watches shops were once toy models shops, they have now been taken over by rolex watches shops since there are just that many watches being circulated on the market.
What is a 116900 or 126900 Air King going for in HK? I think I saw a 116900 for $53000 25:11 which seems a lot less than what people are asking here in US.
14:56 beautiful IW3713! They’re asking $55k HKD, a bit over $7k USD which is on the higher end. Wonder how much they’re willing to negotiate, let alone ship to the US.
I like your channel a lot. However, there is something wrong about the buying experience if you purchased a watch from one of these stores. It’s just not the luxury experience associated with buying a fine timepiece.
Same as anywhere else. The older the watch the higher the chances to require service. But when it comes to counterfeits, dealers here have the knowledge and you can have any watch checked down to the last screw. New stuff is same same. A lot of stock transits from ADs in Germany for example, selling to their VIPs who sell to intermediaries here and they end up in the dealer windows. I just report. I don't suggest anyone should enable those practices. I have never had any issue other than mechanical breaks which is so common on used watches. That's the main thing you have to account for when buying used.
It's the iPhone mic. Sadly you can't record through the AirPods so I gotta used the cord ones. I try to hold it so it doesn't knock on anything but still this noise keep coming through. I do like how they isolate the outside noise quite well though
It’s astonishing how much inventory they have. I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $34 million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $34m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum sitting in the bank, but the interest rates aren't impressive, so I'm considering moving it elsewhere, whats your cash flow like?
