Watch Straps 

I have both a mechanical and digital vernier. I am scared of using them on my watches though in case I scratch them. I just remove the straps and measure them instead. I do the pull test too! Rather safe than sorry! On my dive watches I like a heavy duty spring bar! I will try that trick with the bracelet next time I change them! Thanks for sharing Cameron!

That was very informative. I appreciate your advice on tools and techniques. I had to figure them out myself. There is another way of installing spring bars using your thumb nail to depress one side of the spring bar while the other side is in the lug hole. You can get away with that method to install bracelets with tight end links as well. I would also add celo tape to cover the place where they may scratch your case during install. I like to use quick release spring bars for my Nato straps as well. It makes one less step to remove them if you don't have drilled through lugs. What do you think? Thanks
