I raised a deer mouse from babyhood once, my little zoomy boy, the sweetest little mouse I've ever met, he loved corndogs, sleeping on my wrist under a knitted sweater sleeve, and gentle head rubs. Unfortunately he didn't live long, only a few months... He was born deformed slightly and didn't grow proper, it looked like dwarfism but I'm sure there were other issues, his body never grew large enough to support his head and so I was never able to stop hand feeding and watering him, it was a hassle but I loved the little baby. I wish he lived longer

Mice cannot survive in the wild after having been hand-raised by a human. They need to learn from their mother how to, and what to forage for. This woman went through many weeks of feeding them around the clock only to guarantee their deaths the day she "set them free'. She meant well, but she doesn't have sufficient knowledge, nor did she have the proper urge to seek out correct information.

This woman is just so sweet and loving to these mice. The love, sincerity, excitement, and bond she shares with them, in her voice alone, made me smile thru this whole video...and I'm that person who's terrified of rats, I mean mice..but rats too. So makes it a big deal for me..the passion, love, amusement, and care..just made me seein these lil guys in a different light. Now I don't mean I wanna hold them or play with them by any means. I'm taking it as I could sit here and watch them in her video for hours, with love filling my heart for her and them and the interaction and bond they share. For normally..and still with rats and mice..there's no way I'd want them near me, and not even in a video for sure. So def a big deal for myself that in regards to these SWEET, WHEEE LIL BABIES, I'm totally feelin the opposite of wanting to scream, run, and be sleeved out and scared. But again, these sweethearts, along with her voice, and love, all mixed together, those under this circumstance, def have me loving them waaaay more..than the fear and dislike I have for rodents in general. 💖💜💖💜🐭🐭🐭🐭😍 Thank you for sharing these adorable lil guys with the world. And bless you, or her, 🙏🏻 for the love shown here, of these sweet amazing babies!!!💜💜💜

They were raised in a friendly environment... I dont think releasing them was a good idea..the fact that some people "care" about animals but in reality they dont even know the basics kills me. Edit: im not talking about this person specifically(sorry that I didnt explain earlier), Im talking about the people who pretend to care of animals just to make a video and upload it on youtube because there are ALOT of cases like this.
@FrostyTheCookie
@FrostyTheCookie 5 лет назад
They still would have the instincts to know to run from danger and still have the instincts to eat plants. Most mice end up being too, since they are really low on the food chain. Also, you can't assume what preparations this person made to prepare the mice for the wild, all you get are some cute video clips. Less than five minutes of footage for over a month. Assuming that they weren't taught to survive in the wild is, simply put, ignorant.

I found 2 today, their mom is gone/dead and we found them at a shop, we went back to our car and 2 baby mice in our car. Alive! And I don't think releasing them is such a good idea, because of being handheld, etc. It's not as easy as survival instinct kicking in.
