I saw them twice in 2023, front in the pit on the barricade, this is ABSOLUTELY how they sound live. I saw them for the first time a week after they released this. It was INCREDIBLE.

This Live was a huge FU from Ronnie to all the haters. He has very colorful and controversial background with lot of drama. He has his demons and mistakes but what I admire about Ronnie is that he is honest and authentic and petty af, love it. There was a huge discourse about using backtrack and lip sync and some old gen big names came at him about it (he makes fun of them in the music video with the falling laptops). There has also been lot of shit about him not really knowing how to rap or sing or growl and well he proves them wrong. Ronnie gets a lot of attention since he tends to react when people come at him and then he gets the stamp of being the problem. But gotta love a guy with skill and passion.

Popular Monster was the first song I heard by FIR and, like you, I was sucked in immediately and became obsessed with it, Ronnie, and FIR. FIR is at least 90% of the music I listen to because Ronnie does everything and ticks all the boxes for what I like to listen to----it's one stop shopping, lol.

And thus you are ready for FIR. Ronnie has had serious issues in the past. He paid for them, worked on himself, but a lot of people are not letting go. They had to cancel a concert because their laptops had gone missing, and all their background tracks are gone. That of course includes the clicks for the drummer, the third, fourths, five hundredth layer of atmospheric production, but not the main instruments or vocals. A number of people started a hate campaign that FIR are not a real band because they were using recordings, clearly implying that Ronnie was lipsynching. One of the main haters was a certain slipknot member with long blond hair who may or may not have been hit by a laptop in the video. And of course the trolling didn't finish after this. I take the live version as Ronnie going into overkill to just once and for all showing that he doesn't need that stuff. They also did a version of one of their songs without background tracks. They were still on point, but it was clear what those tracks were for. I cast my voice into the ring for those suggesting Last Resort, especially if you know the Papa Roach version well.

I agree the whole band is so amazing, drummer Luke Holland joined them a few years ago and he is great, and then the bass guitar and backing vocals done by Tyler, just as amazing.

I saw Falling in Reverse open for Avenged Sevenfold in September and saw them again 2 nights ago open for Disturbed. No offense to the other 2 bands I mentioned because both were phenomenal live but FIR killed it...yes, the are my favorites right now so I am partial.. My husband went because I wanted to go. He was indifferent to Falling in Reverse. He didn't dislike them but he never thought of them as anything special.... until hearing them live. He's been to many concerts and after seeing Falling in Reverse has said it's one of the best bands he's ever seen live. They sound great and Ronnie brings this same energy each song and each show. My only regret is I missed their headlining tour. I hope they have another one soon!

Ok, just got to say, your reaction is so refreshing. I’m a huge FIR fan, Ronnie is a genius in my opinion. I seen this live last July, they are amazing filled with tons of energy. Just do you know they played two concerts in Idaho last year and both were sold out! That’s huge to sell out in a state like Idaho. Love your reaction it brings back the feelings of my first initial reaction and keeps the song my all time favorite. Thank you

I love it when new people find the original, and then this version shortly after. Your reaction takes me right back to the first time I saw this version. Thanks for that! One of his targets in the song is Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach... the shirtless blonde man in the video who gets hit in the head with a laptop is a Bach double. As for the Drake reference, I'm convinced everything Ronnie does is intentional. Look at the attention to detail... in the videos, in the live performance, the lyrics. Some of it's to target specific beefs (Bach, maybe Drake?), others are to pay homage to his own musical influences, like Eminem ("I'm a lyrical typical supervillain, I'm venomous"). Like you, I rabbitholed on that video for quite a long while after first hearing it. Seeing them Mar 3 in Vegas, and I've ALMOST got all the fast rapping down (that's how many times I've obsessively listened to this song - it's been a bit of a grind). That part right before "I'm never gonna stop until they put me on top of the list" is still pretty mumbly, but the rest is solid. Now to perfect that metal scream-roar.

I loved your reaction. Replying to your question: I've seen FIR live 2 times last year and both times were phenomenal. EVEN BETTER than this live version. The sounding was mindblowing and not mixed, you could hear the instruments one by one and Ronnie's vocals were even more highlighted. It was a drop of jaws, a lose of shit. I've never been to a similar concert than FIR's.

I've seen them twice live. First time was in November in Nashville. INCREDIBLE. They didn't perform this version but the normal version. Just saw them on the 8th in Knoxville and it was once again INCREDIBLE and they performed this version. When Ronnie said run it back I freaked the fuck out. They are currently touring with disturbed. Definitely check them out if they are coming near you. They are always the highlight for me live.

I saw them for the first last month with disturbed at the first show of the arena tour...absolutely amazing. I had heard of them but never listened to them. I'm glad I gave them a chance because they're awesome and I really like the self awareness they have like disturbed, which is what's made me love disturbed for so many years. The drummer you mentioned is Luke Holland, he's a good underrated metal core drummer.

@@notrashtolerated I honestly wasn’t quite sure what to expect as far as a live performance, especially with his vocal capabilities but it was really good. I know people have some strong opinions of Ronnie from comments and what not on social media sites, but the man is one hell of an entertainer. No matter how fast he got his enunciation was spot on and clear, which can be tough when you have the reverberation in an arena. Tyler, to me, was crazy good with the background vocals (I think he gets overlooked often). I would definitely go see when they headline shows. This show was part of Disturbed’s “Take Back Your Life Tour”. It was a solid show 😊

"Screamo" for the vocal technique can be seen as a bit derogatory by some. "Harsh vocals" is a more accepted term. As for the genre, I guess you can just call it Falling in Reverse. Not many people mix rock, hiphop and metal this way. Their earlier stuff is more straight up rock. Their re-imagined cover of Papa Roach's Last Resort is kind of a continuation of this one.

Many people (haters) says he's lip syncing so Ronnie up there showing them how wrong they have and that its him singing. Ronnie is ao talented and he sings. are just naive people who have not realized that to use backing tracks like rap beat and so on isn't the same as lip syncing:) And he har tyler also up there whos backing his vocals:)
