This is a late comment, but I love this video! I’m going to be a first year economics major, and everyone in my Highschool who took economics was all like “ugh I hate Econ so much” and whenever people asked what I was gonna major in, I told them Econ and they were like “yikesss that sucks” and I loved how you said no Econ shaming 😂 Econ was super fun when I took it in Highschool! I wish there were more Econ classes offered at my Highschool but there was only 1 and even though parts were rather difficult, it all ended up being mostly understandable and pretty fun too.

I like your thought of how "writing shouldn't be graded". I too think it's restrictive and unnecessary to grade a creative piece.

learning Economics is like doing a privilege sport like equestrian or Figure skating. it will only make sense doing it if you can take it to end and you will need support for the feeling that its useless till its not.

I love economics, but I somewhat dislike math. I aced ALL of my economic courses growing up from high school to a university. It’s fascinating. My favorite math is algebra, and geometry statistics was fun, but I just didn’t have time to focus on that part of math.

I think the next video should be Economics major vs Finance major differences.

Now that u mention it, I watch lot of college RU-vid and not many people are economics majors mostly law or art or cs (or they drop out lol) so is it like taboo to aspire to be a finance student or not cool? Unlike in my country (South Africa) if u aren’t smart enough for science maybe hated it, commerce/finance is what u study. I was an economics & statistics major but wasn’t interested in financial side of economics and wanted the more social sciences side so changing to development economics. Worried about my wealth prospects so looking up videos like this but there aren’t many from econ majors (maybe they think it’s not cool) any economics based video is very old here on YT so thanks for ur upload!

Hello everyone, I am about to start my university in the upcoming September and right now I am choosing between a laptop or a ipad, ipad being unfamiliar but can be handy and laptop being extremely familiar with. I am not entirely sure what to expect in my economics courses regarding to its technical needs(words, excel, graphing, etc), so I can't decide which one would be more useful.

I don't believe people of all nations taxes run the countries economies, it's creativity labor and production, citizens businesses that make and run everything. That's why it's legitimate and appropriate for governments to print X amount of money for all citizens for their business enterprise, especially after working 8 or 10 or 15 years, including the amount of education one has. I believe taxes are only meant for specific items, such as pensions, social security, food stamps, welfare, and purchase of the finished product for government use.
