@@terryhill788 hey mate! Yeah drilled holes through the platform and used the mounts provided through the rack and under the supporting arms. However the rails are on the tent with bolts, so you could move the mounting rails of you wanted to just use bolts into the roof rack slides.
Gday! Yeah we went and had a look and it was honestly terrible quality. Suppose to be a free standing and it wouldn’t stay tight and put a lot of stress on the mounting rails. The salesmen from the store even said not to buy it, he said the previous version of the awning is better than the latest version. If I was going to get a 270 again I’d go 23zero falcon, bushwakka darkness or bush company
@@kattcyyyhas4386 We used the older genergation Bush company mounts. Still had to Drill holes in it to match the rails of the tent. However works perfectly. Only issue is you have to line up the brackets and the awning so it dosnet hit the gas struts on the tent! Best of luck! (We will be doing a 6-8 Month review of the tent around November December)
We thought we had a water leaking issue at the start, but was literally just condensation. We have since aired it out every weekend when not in use in the tropics. However we slept in this bad boy during a massive rain and thunderstorm in tropical Queensland think it was 30mm of rain, was so warm and cozy and no dramas at all. In fact even the wind noise was bearable nothing much more than a swag
Perfect sounds good , we really want to buy one, there's just so many negative comments about motop from their previous models with leaking. It's good to hear a good review about this V6 as there isn't many reviews around at all. You've sold us.
Great to hear mate, definitely a great tent for the price. Super comfy. Just have to do some handyman work to mount accessories if your not buying the Motop awning etc
