Hello, I would like to clarify a few points to balance the conversation and to make the transition of people looking to move here easier. 1. Kindergarten in Alberta starts at 5 years and is only half day like the person in the video said, but understand that its just for an year. Starting Grade 1, your children will attend full time school. 2. If you move to a new community in Canada, expect you children to go to a different school until the school specific to your community is built. This is true for all places in Canada and the problem isn't specific to Alberta. In general things take 5-10 years to be built around a new community and as it matures things get better. 3. You can't select a public school anywhere in Canada. If you decide to send your child to a public school, you'll have to send them to designated schools or overflow schools. You don't have choice in that matter. That is why its important to call around and confirm if your address is situated within the school's boundary. 4. There is no tax on meat, milk, eggs and food in Alberta, those things are categorized as sales tax exempt. You can find the entire list of taxable and tax exempt list of products on the internet. 5. You don't pay more for things in Alberta. Things have gotten more expensive recently, I can confirm that they are the same as I've bought food in both the provinces as late as last week. Also, shop for your food and other groceries in bulk at places like Costco to save money. Halal food discount stores can be found in any major Canadian city. I hope, things get easier for you. But, please do your research before you move to a place. The school situation could have easily been avoided if you guys called around and enquired before actually deciding to rent that place.
U guys are near 40s and still doing mistakes ..... First u need to check schools admission then go for house renting but u didn't that shows u guys are non serious parents about ur kids future.
Ashar bhai apnay weight ke lie bhi effort karain. Belly buhat out hai. Mera b yehi haal tha. 5 months me 20kg loose kia ha.. Alhamdulillah feeling superb. Yeh na ho ksii din saray plans chopat ho jaein aue achanak se halat badal jain aur bhabi Canada me akele khawaar hun hospitals mei. Allah Pak apke family pe asani farmaye
Thank you for sharing a brief on Calgary based on your recent experience. Hope it will be useful to many incoming new families. ... appreciate your efforts.
Really feel sad for this family. Before you research house, look for a good school zone and then look for a house. Without researching a school and assuming you will get in that vicinity is a blunder. You will always get houses in Calgary for rent compared to Ontario. If the houses are not going for rent that means that suburb is not in great demand and mainly could be school, accessibility etc. Also Alberta not allowing until 5 to for kindy and no grants education until 12 months is a setback for families. Aus was way better
Ino for u brother...Recipient households living in market rental housing in Calgary will receive a monthly benefit payment to subsidize their housing costs. Calgary Housing Company (CHC) administers the benefits that participants use to pay their landlords. This program is administered by CHC within Calgary and Chestermere
I think it's unfortunate that we were your followers and we couldn't help you choose where to go and you also chose to learn by experimenting and not by experiene of your followers. We need to connect better!!
The problem is that they posted the house hunt videos after leasing the rental. I also commented on one of their house tour video to think before buying a house in cornerstone - school is going to be a huge issue.
That’s fine, it’s life experiences and we’re glad if people could learn from it otherwise everyone said in their videos ‘yahan sab se qareeb ka school mil jata hai’ no one guides clearly on youtube
@10:25...It's not because of logistics....Canada still developing country, doesn't matter what infrastructure they established but they don't have enough population. Remember, most of Desi people only will develop this country.
There are cheaper markets within Ontario where houses are still affordable. The only downside is finding the proper employment. However, it is not an issue for ppl who work from home.
😅 i am also parent, i am also moving to calgary for the sake of cost.. this video was eye opening and making me concern for my decision.. Schooling is the most important thing for me.. kindly make a video on islamic schools.. and what's the cost diffrence for groceries..

Assalam o alaikum Sana, can you please share a link of your video where you discussed about schools in ontario? Which you mention in this video. I will be thankful to you.
@@asharsanavlogscanada5211 thanks. One more favor please, can you please suggest us family of 5. Husband, Wife and 3 kids they are under 5 years which accommodation is suitable for us, like apartment townhouse or basement in barrie?
My husband is in Australia and I am also for good opportunities for living. That's true, things are getting worse and worse in Pakistan but also in all over the world.
I have a question about kids' education because in school they teach them about (LBGT) I'm sorry for asking about but nowadays it's really highlighted for every parent and family so kindly if you have any info kindly reply....
it's part of curriculum of many boards in Canada. so, you don't want kids to learn about these basic topics. then don't send kids to school and teach by your own at home. than one day kids learn from outside these LGBTQ+ topics and it will be disaster for you as parent and kids both. so better learn basics from schools and don't hide these topics under the carpet.
@@razamughal4582 do Islamic school. teach kids about science (biology (again biology is about human body, how much you can hide info form your kids), physics, Chemistry), math's, English, French etc.
@@amitrajoria4548 of course they do. They teach what the government tells them to teach, the curriculum. No GOOD parent will EVER teach kids about LGBTQ, if you do you are a RUBBISH parent. Simple as that.
Surprised to hear about school system. It looks like you will move back to Ontario in near future. It's difficult to live in Alberta and BC....Ontario is only province preferred because Quebec is French culture and you don't prefer that
Come to USA. USA cares more about kids. You could put what's better for your kids and their education. Too far is worse. In USA best schools are where you live. This is so ridiculous sending kids 30 km away and bad schools. 😢 poor kids. In USA things are expensive as groceries but their are options . Cooking much better since eating outside can cause cancer. Restaurants use coloring and flavoring that make you fat and cause cancer. For children not good. I eat millet roti and veggies to lose weight. Indian store sells millet roti. Its healthy or multigrain roti in frozen sections. In USA you could buy at restaurant depot and buy in wholesale meat . Its cheap meat and halal good. I am 60 so i have done with my kids. Now rasing kids expensive too. Don't send kids to islamic school since there education level less then public in USA. My kids school came number one in USA when Obama was president. Blue ribbon school. You need better schools InshAllah your kids very good

Common sense...you made a hasty decision in choosing the area to live. Because schooling was not on your priority list, hence the result! There is a reason why rentals are cheaper in some areas compared to places that are high in demand. You get what you pay for. The long term goal of buying a house even in Alberta is getting out of hands. And you don't build good equity as compared to Ontario.
Guys the second largest city of Canada is MONTREAL not Vancouver , infact montreal is much bigger than Vancouver, it was once even bigger than Toronto, in the 70s.
Just to save some cost they moved to Calgary, now they are paying lot more … Private schools are not free, you will be paying extra … Tum loog namazein maaf karwane gaye thay, lekin rozey bhe galey par gaye… If housing was the only reason then you may soon regret it … the government is working towards increasing the supply of homes in Ontario, which will eventually reduce the cost of housing in about couple of years .. election is coming so government will do anything to reduce housing cost to get votes… at least if you had stayed in Ontario, your children would have started school nearby free of cost, you would have got cheap groceries .. and a lively urban life style (access to halal restaurants and many other community events) There are more mosques and much larger Pakistani community in Milton and Mississauga… Cost of living will all even out given your current situation .. in fact you will be paying more in Calgary for groceries and your children’s education … so where did you save money, really? I hope the best for you guys!
Very bad, maybe you guys are a good vlogers but not a good parents. I saw your vlogs how you were handling your infant . People research before big moves.why complaining?
I did raise this point in your first video about Calgary. Last year i alsmot bought a house in Calgary but it was near 2 minute away from school. I did extensive research, called all schools and figured out the age of kids. The issue about Kindergarten being 1 year and part-time. Schools being too far away etc. This is the reason we dropped our plans. I think if you think kids-first in your parameters of house search you'd be better situation for them.
You can go from Calgary to Vancouver for 50$ and there are hundreds of places to visit near Calgary. Drumheller 🦕, Banff, Jasper, Kanakaskis, Jhonston Canyon, Waterton, Malign Canyon, Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Lake Minnewaka, Columbia Icefield and many more… we haven’t repeated any place after moving to Calgary 2 years ago..and still many more to explore…
Sir we don't want to move to Canada which is now become adda of terrorists. Hum apne desh mein bahot khush hai aur Allah ne bahot kuch diya hai toh hum kyun Canada jayenge?😊
You get what you pay. All depends on your goals. I commented on one of your videos earlier that Milton was a better place to raise a family. I am sure you had concerns regarding living in the basement in Ontario but after few years that changes as well. You get to next level in your career and then you start affording those expensive rents as well. Travelling is good as one learns from it but one has to settle down at some point and lay their roots. May Allah SBT Make this transition easy for u and your family, Ameen.
I saw ur video ap bht galat info de rahe hn hm bht saal calgary rahe kis ne kaha grocery free ha ontario or school wahan b community mn he jana hota jase ontario mn bht galat info d ao ne

Very good comparative information given which should create awareness for every person doing deep thinking decision making.....very helpful & credible!!!
Ashar bhai continue the good work - you cant make everyone happy, there will always be people picking up things... you guys are doing a wonderful work.
Send your kids to TLC school not in Rundle i guess that might be your school. Car Insurance is cheaper here, there r tons of places to travel someone mentioned in comments, for grocessories go to Walmart as all Walmart here sell halal plus desi food your closest one is on 64th Avenue. If you wanna enjoy desi food go to WestWind, Falconridge and Jacksonport they all are within 10kms radius where you are living. Internet get it from Shaw and fixed for 2 years plan otherwise u will pay way more if on month to month. Stay blessed and enjoy.
Sana thanks alot hum to calgary mein hi ana chahty thy bechon ki study pr compromise nh Allah pak ap k liye asani kry Ameen. Ap log alberta ki kisi or city mein move ho jao
Desi groceries will be expensive where there’s less community. The more far you live more price you pay especially on pak groceries. Its all about commute. Thats why options are very less in this area.
Ashar bhai aap sadayejaria la kaam kar rahe hai. Allah iska jaza dega Insha allah. Dusaro ki baat dil pe mat lejiye. "Kuch to log kahenge logo ka kaam hai kahna". Hum sab aapke saath hai. Mai to saudi mei hoon per aap ki video dekhta rahta hoon. Aapka video dekhna hum ko accha LAGTA hai. Knowledge bhe MELTI hai. Allah aap logo ko hefazat mei rakhe.🤲🤲🤲
Thank you so much for sharing please bmb book kesy krn calgary main or kitna rant huta hai please is per bhi aik video bnain because hum nay book krana hai is week
Hey neighbour, yes the school situation in Skyview and Redstone is very bad. Our kindergarten daughter also goes on bus despite living right next to the school in Skyview and we applied for admission on the first day the admissions opened in January. This was a real shock for us and we own a home here so can't really move. But I still like Calgary as it is very near to the Rockies. Regarding groceries, you might be going to the wrong stores as I don't find Calgary to be overly expensive than other cities. Also, you find it quite but I don't like these new communities and in my opinion they're congested with all the apartments and townhouses. We moved here from Saskatchewan and really miss the peace and quiteness. Just give it some time and you'll love it here.
Always look for schools first b4 renting and buying a house …. A lot of ppl moved from other provinces to Calgary that’s why schools are already over the capacity … even in Ontario we didn’t get the school in our community due-to over capacity so it’s every where … Calgary ne is not a good choice …
