Another trick that’s bitter sweet is changing the tags on your beats to the current trending ones on the search bar

i might have to try that. im currently testing beatstars promo to see if it gets newly uploaded beats ranking higher in search results. results in a video next week !

This was very insightful, I didn’t realise the marketplace still brought people organic sales, I was of the mind that posting beats to the marketplace without any marketing and still getting sales was dead, as has been the experience for many. I’m working on creating a new platform to compete with Soundee & BeatStars, and the network effect of their marketplace is the hardest thing to compete with so we were considering leaving it out completely for a more producer centric approach - allowing producers to join together and create their own marketplaces, this will contribute to our decisions going forward. We would like to know your thoughts on this if you feel inclined ❤

If it was dead, you wouldn't have top selling producers spending $1000s every month for beatstars promo. Just start paying attention to what the top producers are doing. They wouldn't waste their money if it was all for nothing. Also any sales that you make from the marketplace or pro page helps your beats rank higher for keywords and tags used on the site. Most of my sales have always been from the marketplace. They have a crazy amount of traffic to their website. Theres alot of money to be made out here for anyone whos willing to put in the work.

Another thing to do is invest your time into up and coming artist type beats as well. If you get beats on the marketplace before they properly blow up as they grow your beats get found in searches more

Thanks for this video! Your strategies have really helped me out. How would you suggest I increase the amount of free downloads I get on my beats and how to convert them into sales?

free downloads is a results of consistently uploading over a period of time. how you turn the free downloads into sales is email marketing. you would have to enable free download for email capture in this case
