Great video showing this bike ! My first one was an CBR 500R, I stayed with it for two years and recently changed for the CBR 600F. You are absolutely right about the gap from one to another, the horsepower is doubled and delivered in a different way, much more agressive.

I have a CBR 300R and I don't plan to sell it. It's my first bike, and I've had it for 2 years now. I am in love with it. I don't need anything faster. I have stainless brake lines and upgraded pads. I don't want a $500+ exhaust because I don't want to piss people off and not only that but it's embarrassing to be loud AND slow. It's one thing to be FAST and loud, but when it takes redline shifts and 6.5 seconds to 60 mph, it's sad. Plus a stock pipe won't make cops want to pull you over. By the way, the 500R is much heavier than a 300R, like 70 lbs. 300R would kill a 500R or even 600-1000rr in twisties. I couldn't care less about doing 100 mph on the street. I like having my license.

I'm poor. Still paying off the bike. $130/month is helping to max out my credit score. Once it's paid off I might look for something else. I prefer single cylinder bikes so that narrows the selection down.

GT6SuzukaTimeTrials it only kills in the tightest twisties, like 15 mph turns, but then a super moto would be better then the 300 for the super tight turns. I own a cbr300 too, but only for commuting. Ride more bikes is all I am saying. You may find out that you are a sumo guy, or a standard guy, or even a cruzing guy. This is my first bike and love it. However if your an individual that learns fast you will out grow it super fast and want something faster. New bikes might have slippery tires because the tire factory mould has a chemical coating to help release the tire. If you pull away with strong throttle in the first 200 miles, 300km, the tire might spin causing a small accident. Happened to me on a new Honda Fireblade many years ago. Pulled away with fun throttle and the rear spun up, bike lay down. Little bit of plastic scratched. I was lucky.

I started two years ago on a 1994 Honda CBR 600 F2. I was given the choice between the F2 or a 2002 F4i. The reason I went for the old lady was ergonomics and less twitchy throttle. I got my license at 28 last year and I have never dropped it. It can be a decent beginner bike, but I don't recommend it unless you are 25+ and know your own limits. If you are some 18-year-old who just wants to go fast - start with something less than 500cc unless you have a death wish.

Lots of terrific, hilly twisties, but lots of gravel and broken pavement as well (Canadian winters). The Yamaha R 3 Seems to be made for a 5’8” & shorter riders! Plus unless you’re 160 pounds or less you can’t have your girlfriend, your boyfriend or whatever riding on the back of it without it slowing it down too much!!

They should just sell this as a starter bike u can keep after u learn. It’s basically a slightly bigger slightly fast cbr300r. U would think for almost double the size of the engine it would be much faster. But it doesn’t even hit 120mph

I love the standard position of the CB500F, can I put handle bars from a CB500F on a CBR500R? Can I make a 500R a 500F just by doing that? (position only) I know the gearing differences etc. I live in a windy place and I'm thinking the fearing and the looks, I love the 500R looks over just a standard F. Does Honda answer these questions? I'll buy a 500R tomorrow if I can confirm this ;)

I have to say I found this to be a very confused video. Personally I think if you change the title that would help, the title implies that you are speaking about all Honda's and potentially why you shouldn't buy one instead you focus on the CBR500R. The content was good just a little misleading. The scripture also was lost on me. Keep up the good work though.

Thanks for the vid..i have a question..i found a honda cbr 500rr on craigslist.. the person asking 4500..2013 low miles. What's the difference between the 500r and 500rr or did the person make a mistake when he listed it.. I'm sorry i don't know alot about sports bikes but I'm trying to learn as I'm in the market to buy one and i want one i don't kill myself on. I currently ride a honda 750 spirit and it is my first bike. I wanting to move up to a sports bike and am looking for good acceleration but not needing to go 180 mph lol. Also are there any weight ratings for these bikes for us plus size folks haha..

Ain't no such animal as a RR. Certainly not in Europe. The reason is that it was specifically designed to fit Europe's A2 category (35Kw limit). There is nowhere to go with the engine. You could alter the geometry to make it more aggressive but I can't find a mention of it. Besides, there is no racing category for 500cc, so its as relevant as a desert penguin.

Great video, I couldn't agree more when you said "that you (the rider) are the only limitation" when you see these guys on 600's or 1000's thinking they'll be faster than a 300 or 500, it's true in a straight line (can't beat raw power) but straight line performance get old very quickly.

looking like a good idea for young. first time riders should not be able to get R1. if they have no experience but 🙏safe travels and im definitely like and just seeing this now im supposed great to hear even though it is evident that you have been on bikes probably be years on a seat but u still Know u can do everything just right and✝️ is driving we are all trying to hold on and i just got 09 CBR 600rr $1500 bucks and it was just theift recovery and its just good thing top of the triple trees wasn't broken and it is still 4 tapped holes and it was saved by sliders and it is not my first 600 f3 had Yoshi pipe and for price and condition it was just the same as a scooter 😂 and I don't feel safe if i can't kick in the butt just if i need to get out of the way

It should have significantly more power than the two 50 or 300 I listen to most you video and I didn't hear you reveal if it was a twin or a four cylinder Honda doesn't build any three cylinders that I can think of at the moment after listening to the engine it sounded exactly like a twin. Decades ago Honda built a V4 500, that was a great bike, especially in the twisties.

Can you let go of the throttle while in gear the way he does a few times when he takes both hands off the bike? I thought that stalls the bike out or is that only when your not already riding at a certain speed.
@Long-nd8bq
@Long-nd8bq 2 года назад
It's like letting off the gas in a car. Engine braking will slow it down and it will carry on at idle in whatever gear you are in so it will be a low speed. It may bog the bike down trying to speed back up though if you don't downshift.
