Frontiers Of Pandora came out this last winter, and I saw it on steam the other day for $30. AC Odyssey’s Ultimate Edition was legitimately like $15 too.
Yeah, the combat clearly looks bad. Storm trooper shooting down at the structure is clearly a bug or bad AI. All gameplay vids show just very very shallow AI mechanism. Its too bad all the big channels are in the bag and dont criticize what they experienced.
If they gave a demo or free copy, they know most people would pass on it. It is probably a 6 or maybe a 7 at BEST, in a way, that is almost worse than being bad, this game looks FORGETTABLE.

I don't know if it's just me, but im struggling with the presentation of this game. There's a cognitive dissonance between what is being presented vs the gameplay shown so far. They stress the idea of an outlaw in the underbelly of the galaxy who deals with all these scoundrels and syndicates, but the gameplay just seems goofy, perky and overal lighthearted. I don't have an issue with either of the tones, it's just hard to get into any of the two tones when they seem to keep conflicting. I can't even take Kay seriously as an outlaw because how she sounds and acts just seems cheesy. Even the reputation system is just reduced to a gimmick that keeps changing making it not seem like much of a big deal and more of a hinderance. Maybe im just getting older or maybe UBI is once again trying to sell a unique and fleshed out concept but will ultimately deliver a bare bones gameplay implementation of it.
@ApsmneShsbshu because it appealed to other ages. 12 year olds is such a small demographic that it would be a company aide suicide to just cater to that demographic.

Bad AI is possibly lore accurate, but I expected better. The Divisions games were pretty good, I like Massive and the Snowdrop engine as a result of that franchise, so its odd here. Maybe they were dictated a lower amount of development time to reach a certain budget requirement for the project. "I hope there's more to it" seems to be the theme of literally everything I have seen about this game - except for the textures and visuals, as those are excellent. Everything else I have been left a little wanting. Was really excited for this game, but I think I'm going to wait or even pass on it completely, which is surprising, being a Star Wars fan. It feels like they either weren't given enough time for more gameplay mechanics - or - they desired to really dumb everything down - both of which a great game does not make, imho.
I'd never be convinced that she uses her bare hands to take down people with helmets. Atleast give her an electric glove or something to stun or take out enemies. Just seems weird imo
I am 100% with you on this and it just seems to me if they can't take time to make something this simple right then that shows a lot about what they really put into this game. It doesn't really make me at all excited about purchasing it that's for sure. I'll probably buy it later when it goes on sale possibly as long as the reviews are good.
You have a tazer for bigger enemies we saw it in one of the trailer. Stormtroopers have always been weak. Their armor is canonically a bad armor, they litteraly lost against stuffed animals with sticks. There are wookieepedia pages about how the armor is bad and that you can knock out a storm trooper with bare hands way before the game and it has been done in several Movies/TV shows already. The goal of the armor, and i mean in the actual lore, is to dehumanize the humans beind it, to scare people after the clones. You just deal against a faceless enormous army of those which is meant to be scary but the armor itself is cheap AF. Litteraly discussions about that started even before 2017.
I feel the same when it was first announced with not much detail I was excited but hesitant because of who was at the throne of making it but as I see gameplay it looks fun just has a lot of negativity towards it lol

@@Kimkong2it’s not a terrible game I don’t know what’s wrong with average games but he’s over exaggerating they make the perfect games for casuals while usually hardcore gamers are more pissed off at Ubisoft me I think they make ok games
@@WeKNOWTHETRUTHITSUNDISTPUTED I believe so, but i think the issue for me is, by the 5th 20hr+ triple A game from them, it starts to get stale and annoying. Especially when they keep marketting the game as if it's something new and revolutionary but it ends up the same thing with a different coat of paint.
@@Kimkong2 they have said that Star Wars outlaws and AC shadows will be more condensed because I get that for me personally Valhalla was painfully repetitive and sadly i only played it because at the time Vikings and the last kingdom on Netflix was out so I was interested in Vikings content but Valhalla to me wasn’t that good but it was there most profitable assassins creed should tell you alot about people
You can carry other weapons. True that you have to drop them when you head out of certain area, but to me it’s similar to breath of the wild. Your weapons break all the time but there’s always new powerful ones all around you. And it looks like every enemy you kill drops there weapon and you can send nix to pick it up for you so you don’t have to go out in the range of blaster fire
For me to play this it would have to be given to me. No way I am buying the SW game nobody asked for. Looking forward to the KOTOR remake though. That's the kind of SW game players want. Not some random no name rebel with no character creation, no playable Jedi, no lightsabers... NO WAY! Talk about dead on arrival. My opinion anyway. Still thank you for the video!
Yah any real Star Wars fan is gonna want lightsabers to be an option they let us down there. And to think I was exited to hear Ubisoft was gonna make a Star Wars game🙄
This looks like a fun time. Not an epic time but fun. I'm excited to travel and see the world's and I'm interested in seeing what the story brings. I am however not paying full price for this. I'll wait for a small discount unless reviews come in and they are all really digging it..... Hopeful but doubtful

I'm just glad there's some stealth in there. The stealth/gunplay reminds me of Watchdogs 1 & 2 as well as Splinter Cell Conviction. The ship navigation looks pretty dang sweet as well.
Biggest reason for me not buying this game has got to be Ubisoft itself. Not being able to actually own your game and play it 10 years or whenever they decide to shut it down is unethical. I truly hope that lawsuit ends well for us gamers because if it doesn’t who is to stop other companies from doing it.
@@ApsmneShsbshu nope you need to be online. They just shut down the crew and people can’t play the game even off line. Ubisoft even came out and said gamers need to understand that they don’t own their games. Look it up dude.

I got Ubisoft Plus on Xbox which has Premium so I can play Star Wars Outlaws Ultimate Edition 3 days Early. I have a PS5, yet Ubisoft Plus on Playstation only has Ubisoft Plus Classic which doesn't have SW Outlaws or Assassin's Creed Shadows. It's only available on Xbox and $20 a month. I been hyped for this game since last year when I heard about it. It's a open world Star Wars game.. I'm sure it will be fun and I will love it

I usually like Ubispft games but I feel like they just didn't care at all with this one. A true, next gen, big budget open world Star Wars game is something a lot of people were waiting for. To see this be the answer is just... man, where have the times gone where devs cared about more than just mass production and marketing with MTX stores and super ultra mega deluxe editions to make easy money? Where is the art? Games are art. It's like we mostly had Michelin Star restaurants before and they all got replaced by McDonald's
@@theunderdog9353 For me this is litteraly one of the Ubi gale with the most consistent art direction, everything from the look of Kay, to the music, even the fonts and UI scream 70' star wars But it make people cry because of Kay' haircut is old fashioned. Also the creative director said the game would have no MTX.
it would be better if a Star Destroyer jumps out of hyperspace to attack you if your wanted level gets to max and it can capture your vessel with a tractor beam then you have to escape from the brig.

The more we learn about this, the less I care to even play it You want to be invested in and excited to upgrade the weapons and clothing of your character - all of which seems to fall flat with this game, especially when the main character is so hideous
Your wanted by the empire it’s going to be empire troopers. If you get a bad enough reputation with syndicates, I’m pretty sure they can send bounty hunters to hunt you.
@@ApsmneShsbshuwell to be fair the empire canonically uses bounty hunters to hunt down their enemies as well as their own troops so it could have worked for sure.
So many people that havent played legacy choice adventures hames like MASS EFFECT and it shows these generations just arent into these type of games just micro transaction COD battle royal heads thatll bash any game but will save COD is the best game....every year
If the pricing wasn't so overly aggressive i might have given this a chance, but 130$+ for the full game is never gonna happen. Even 70$ is a push with this graphic if that actually gave full access...
Does not look like any of their game in terms of structure. You can have the cover aspect of division but that's barely all the games have in common. BUT HEY I guess it is a third person open world so it must be AC.
This game looks like the classic vast open world empty feeling game, littered with bugs and boring exploration side quests (activate towers and stand on advantage point to reveal zone)
Are there repeatable side missions that the player can do to farm faction standing and get on their good side quickly? That would open up the opportunity to unlock all the faction outfits, even if you don't have the bonus for being in good standing
I know this game is getting some bad reviews BUT i see the traditional UBISOFT formulla with some starwars that is NOT tied to the movies SO I AM IN. I think i will enjoy it, not every game needs to be as hard as a "souls like"
In all honesty the world looks GREAT, the stormtroopers corps and exploration looks pretty neat... but the AI is atrociously easy to beat and it looks SUPER simple. For a SINGLE PLAYER game, having super easy AI and a mundane system, i dont see how that will stay fun for long. NOT to mention the ABSURD price for locked content AND abundance of Han Solo, Lando, Sabine (etc) skin packs.
I would honestly like to finally have a Star Wars game in wich I can play as some cool character. Idk about you, but I don’t necessarily find a random smuggler to be very cool or interesting. Why can’t there be a game where I play as idk a mandalorian, a ex-clone trooper finding his way after being decommissioned or something like that?
