Look, imma be real with you, I would disagree. And it's not cuz I'm just out here looking for a fight, but rather I genuinely believe Furtick and Jakes to be erroneous in their understandings of the Bible. Please allow me to tell you why. Jakes and Furtick though I'm sure they have said some good things. Both have run into controversy in the past (and those controversies continue today i would say) due to their perpetuation of erroneous teachings which are unaligned with Scripture. For example, Jakes perpetuates a teaching called the Prosperity Gospel, a Gospel that quite simply is not the real Gospel. It teaches that essentially it is always within God's will for you to prosper, whether that be in jobs, relationships, material wealth, etc and all you need to do is just have enough faith and "sow" (give money) enough seeds in order to "reap" these benefits (this description is quite general). But, when we look at Scripture, we simply just don't see that, the Apostle Paul (someone whom you would assume would have the greatest faith than probably any other today) suffered immensely during his time on Earth (read 2 Corinthians 11, especially verse 24-27). Jakes has also been known to teach other unbiblical and erroneous teachings as well such as modalism, but I want to keep things at least somewhat short... Furtick also has some, to put it generously, _strange_ ways of interpreting Scripture (like that time he said Jesus couldn't override one's unbelief when that is clearly just wrong) but again for the sake of being concise, I'll leave you to research him more in-depth if your interested. Again, I'm not looking for a fight, but rather it is because I genuinely care when people are being mislead by seemingly wise and or compassionate people like Furtick and Jakes. Are they perhaps in some regards wise and compassionate, absolutely! But portions of what they teach I would say are at odds with the truth of Scripture. Thus, I hope you would do your do diligence in discerning their teaching in light of Scripture if you do continue to choose to listen to them. Though I would argue there are better Bible teachers out there, i.e Paul Washer, John McArthur, John Piper, just to name a few. I hope you'd at least consider my position and be willing to challenge your own position if it be necessary. Thank you Good Resources (if you got time, Please watch these!) This is so great and powerful! It’s 6:00am in the morning and this is filing me up with joy and happiness. I’ve sent to my family group as my kids (grown) still need to hear this…. I’ve retired recently and started a business coaching and mentorship business to help people. The naysayers are trying to kill my energy, but this video was right on time!!. Lost my faith years ago. Today this song was playing in a coffee shop and I felt like the callouses were dropping off my heart. I had to come home, Search for it and get so undignified in worship. God….. you have sent this man sir Bishop TD Jake and many other significant figures to my life at such a perfect timing. This sermon enlighten my whole world. I refuse to fail even so I have failed countless times throughout my life, knowing that I must be loyal to my faith that will prepare me til this point. It’s such an excruciating path I have endured and that I whine and whine through my misery of pain hopping and wishing that gods would just end me. My pain I must admit is my darkness nights with the devil, and I couldn’t believe that I was driving in the freeway one night so lost lost, confused and lifeless doing what I do. I knew that I have fail to be clean and that I drawn by the devil and relapsed. I told myself that This has to be the last time I will be weak. I have endure many years of spiritual warfare that buckle my knees in two feet of water. And so I was driving and powerfully announce that I only submit to god and I refused to be submitted by sir Devil 🙏🏼. He has always been a brutal advisor to end my life, and yet god didn’t permitted🙏🏼.I ask god, how I was so determined and fearless to push n push through all the chaotic storms and now I am so lifeless at time/ I am saddened that I caused my beloved mother with stressed over me drowning periodically formulating into a pattern of bad impulsive behaviors. My mother is going through much pain within her body and that how can I convinced her to worry less and have faith that I have faith in god and that all shall come to pass just the a stormy weather/ from time to time, I express this to her, sometime this he pain we endure in life is more painful than resting. I am 36 as of now and the painful moments are causing my numbness, I just stop reacting or speaking of it, I do feel much better when I stop feeding more misery to my life. I just hope my mom would u understand me and have faith in her only son that will certainly be a blessing to this world. She fear that I am her only resource between homelessness. I know that she is hanging on by a few thread to see me better and well off. I prayed to god to give her more time so that I can proudly take her back to the mother land (Vietnam) for her very last time 🙏🏼. How my life path leads me here is divinely orchestrated, I can truly feel it🙏🏼 I know that god has his strange way of doing things and that must trust the process and be patient, even so I can understand that not all things will happen the way we wished it to happen/. Thank you god for all that you have done for me🙏🏼 I will served my mother dutifully honoring her as a good son❤️🙏🏼
