Saved a mouse from a glue trap one time at work, took me forever to get her out safe, half an hour to get her out and like half an hour to wash her in the sink so she didn't get stuck to the floor - to this day i think it was one of the coolest and the most adorable inspiring things I've ever done in my life :)

I also saved a little mouse from a sticky trap. It was the saddest thing that I have ever heard and saw. I used sand to undo the little fingers and legs, then the body...When It was unstuck, ran away so fast...I was so happy. All who watched me, thought I was nuts...I told them..God could have brought you into this world as a mouse, wouldn't it have been awful if it was You trapped and got no help! They agreed after saying that to them...

you need to stop romanticizing this. First of all it wasn't even a mouse it was a marsupial rodent like animal. Second, you have no idea how many deadly zoonotic diseases real mice normally carry. Not everything you see people do with animals is safe or "nice". This is why we study so hard to become vets and biologists I wish people would understand it isn't ok to romanticize certain things

What an amazing guy. Its validating to be able to see other people who share your passion for protecting animals from what we as humans have done to nature. If everyone would do the same, far fewer animals would be on the endangered species list or sadly already forever gone from our planet. Please if you see an animal in need, help it. If you are unable to help it yourself, make the call to someone who can. It will only take a few minutes of your hopefully very long and healthy life. God Bless.
