I agree. Wrestling, and Boxing are arts of position and timing. The angles created are universal for combat sports. Kicking, punching, throwing, and takedowns, utilize these angles. Set ups, such as shown here, combined with proper timing, are needed to enhance the likelihood of obtaining the position and angle necessary to deliver the desired techniques. The more I study combat sports the more similarities I find.

Called the "snap" or "snap down". Classic folk wrestling set up technique. Makes your opponent look away long enough for you to shoot a takedown. Also only tie up with inside control. Never assume a neutral tie up. If he is stronger than you don't tie up. Work your takedowns from the outside instead.
