Odd looking inlays on the fingerboard. It’s almost as if I can’t NOT stare at them. LOL Of the ‘less expensive’ guitars out there, this one is REALLY pretty. Having such a quick & handy way of accessing the truss rod though kind of worries me (even though it’s a pretty cool looking thing to add). Like how often will I be needing to adjust the neck relief??? Overall… this is a nice guitar!
I bought one of their headless, GW2 models last year. Pretty amazing for understanding $400! Great neck and very comfortable. Stays in tune very well. I ended up upgrading the pickups and electronics and now I have a pretty phenomenal, pro level guitar.
That’s a “coil tap”. You can tell because it made a “tap” sound when you moved the knob. Coil splits make more of a ripping or tearing noise. Like cardboard being ripped by a 3 year old.
I played a Les Paul style guitar once, and it sounded amazing, but that switch placement... THAT DARN SWITCH PLACEMENT!!! I can't even. I can't odd either, but that's another story...
Love Eart. They definitely changed the game as far as what affordable guitars can be. Played several of their S-styles and the fretwork was simply (and consistently) *amazing*
That top looks amazing! The inlays however are not. I think even dot inlays would have looked better. Sounds good and looks good. Thanks for demoing this model!
So, I have deducted that you are also a bit like me in that you just love guitar's. Perhaps a lot more than how you play. Good to see someone that likes to doodle. It reminds me of the guitar center les paul here in USA.
This one is a bit pricey for me, seems like a lovely guitar though. I dig the color and I love the compound radius like on my Wolf PRS knockoff. It has about the same specs minus the coil tap/split/whatever. I always dognyour reviews
Tidy guitar, nice sounds. Suggestions ; Do a tonewood affirm/deny video. I'm still unsure. Plus get some weird and niche pedals for a vid. Also, create/give us one of your own homemade old school sounding riffs.
It's a nice looking guitar, but it's a brand I'm sure I'll not only never play, but surely a brand I'll never buy. You did make it sound nice though on the clean setting.
This brand is experiencing price-creep. They’re a weirdo. What the Hell are they doing here? Now instead of being an unbelievable value, they’re kind of where they should be, price-wise. Epiphone is now over what they should be.
Coil tap: "cuts" down the windings on the pickup, lowering the output. Coil split: Splits the coils on a humbucker pickup, making only one of the coils operational as a single coil pickup. There are more guitar manufacturers with coil split mislabeled as coil tap than the other way around.
I never thought I'd ever see you tongue tired, so who did it? OK back to the paranormal. I bought one of the E335 examples and I'm not looking back. I put a tuner on the headstock and wholly guacamole did I get hungry for those good things baby, hungry thru and thru, I digress. That was a perfect bad example of an example, I was having flashbacks of me playing my Tiesco semi-hollow when I was 12 years old in my parents bedroom in the dresser mirror. I still have that hat only it's now covered in tin foil. Man , why you so quirky? Dang. Anyway this E335 is so good I will not mod it in any way, and for me that is very very rare. I bonded with this guitar like my long lost love(r) but I can put this in a case.
