More than 15 years since she last dared, a woman has crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, conquering her long-standing fear of bridges. Carolyn Casey's bridge phobia started in 2000 while on a bike ride across the iconic landmark. But she was determined to overcome her fear, so she and INSIDE EDITION's Victoria Recano got behind the wheel on a windy and foggy day. After taking their time getting across, they got to the other side safe and sound, and breathed a big sigh of relief. #InsideEdition

I certainly accept what the previous commenter said - definately not as easy than it sounds to beat the fear of driving. Be careful and seek advice from experts. I looked round many websites and discovered a lot of expert advice by searching google on sites like fergs driver dismay. I wish you luck and hope you succeed!

Growing up in Maryland will either break (or make) your fear of big bridges. Summer vacation in Ocean City means (for those of west of the bay) crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Been over that one many times from childhood on up and always enjoyed the trip across the bay.

My grandmother loved to tell me about how she crossed the Golden Gate Bridge when it was first completed. She was attending UC Berkeley at the time (she always called the school "Cal", by the way). She crossed on foot, with hundreds of others.

I remember walking over a bridge in Moscow. My friends were really freaked out watching me suffocating, trembling and going as fast as I can keeping off the edges.

I’m not scared of bridges. I Kind of like bridges. It’s fun to watch. I also been 100 Bridges in my life. Such as Chesapeake Bay bridge, Sunshine Skyway bridge and Delaware Memorial Bridge.

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge - that's one I hope to cross one day. It looks totally epic! Luckily when I lived in CA for a few years I got the chance to cross the Golden Gate and Bay bridges. Chesapeake Bay Bridge is in my back yard, so to speak, and that one is also epic.

I fear being a passenger in a vehicle going over a bridge, especially over water. If someone loses control, and slams into your car at speed, your vehicle is going into the water.
