The man suspected of an apparent attempt to assassinate Donald Trump on Sunday is a former supporter of the ex-President who became a pro-Ukraine activist.
Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, has been named by US media citing law enforcement sources, however full details of the suspect have not been released directly to the public by authorities.
He gave an interview in 2022 to Newsweek Romania in which he described travelling to Ukraine to fight and called for others to do the same.
