They attract the smartest bettors because their margin is so low. This means heaps of people are betting on pinnacle and there’s therefore more liquidity in the market. More liquidity means more information which means they are going to be more accurate.

@@OddsJam I actually do alright tailing, just gotta know who to tail! And I don’t just play 10 cent lotto plays cause they usually never hit anyway! I like to stay between 5 and 10 soccer and or tennis legs seems to be my sweet spot!

Thanks, Alex. My only comment is you state all of the "whats" but not the "whys". For instance, you say "here is a direct arb", but you never say why it's a direct arb. Then you say the "market width" is big or small, but you never say why the market width is as you describe. And you say something is "an incredible value" and "an incredible line" versus Pinnacle, the sharpest book maker in the world, but you don't say why it's an incredible value. You would attract a lot more people if you would gear these videos towards guys that never thought this process through to the extent you have. How many guys betting with the dude that serves as the office bookie ever thinks about market width or +EV? Most guys bet on gut and what they think is handicapping. This throws that out the window, or at least changes fundamental priorities in betting. Tell us the "whys" and we'll be glad to join up.

Bookmaker does not have the sharpest lines anymore. Pinnacle still does. I was utilizing this method when Alex was still in diapers. In the 1970s, you could only show a profit in baseball. For instance, we would lay 120 on a favorite and take back + 130 with another out. The same concept that oddsjam is using. It does work. But you must ensure you don't deal with a shady sportsbook. One lay down of 20 dimes can sometimes ruin a month's worth of profit. Stay with reputable sportsbooks only. Best of luck to all.

I truly understand EV and how to calculate it but I still can't understand market width, what does it have to do with EV bets? Why is it: more tight market = more confident?

+Matt Orourke because + payouts are higher hence your win % doesn't have to be as high compared to only placing - bets. - bets require you to hit an impossible % of them to profit long term.

Great video, but wondering what would be the negative aspect of betting player props? Like for example when you clicked on the setting for player props to pop up there seemed a bunch of higher EV bets that popped up, why not bet those?

You’d need to get a good one. NordVPN ip addresses won’t work they’ve all been flagged.

It's not about location. They have KYC so they know who you are. The only real way around it would be to use someone else's identity.

Should you not balance out your betting? For example if you lose both your large bets you are down 1.5k while if you win all your others you would only return 100+?
