@@catalyst18 that's not true at all lol. Rahane, Dhoni, Rayudu, Jaddu, Kuldeep, etc. all got along with Kumble and his disciplined ideas. In fact, thanks to Kumble's and Rahane's tactical nous, they played Kuldeep in the final test match at home which we won vs Australia in 2016-17 or else we'd have lost that test series due to Kohli's stubbornness.

@@amiyaarchit465 ??? Rohit sucks in ICC knockouts and only delivers against teams like Bangladesh in ICC Knockouts, Franchise Cricket is very different from International Cricket. Virat is any day a superior batsman than Rohit, who even in his "peak" year in Test cricket could only score 2 hundreds with an avg of 47 in 2021. Kohli on the other hand, struggling in tests and making hundreds no doubt, yet he still has an avg of 50+ in all 3 formats AND he scored 50+ scores in 6 out of 8 ODIs, and is the only player to have a 50+ average in T20s. Keep your stats in check before defending an inferior batsman. We'll have to see about captaincy, Kohli has had an amazing run as captain with winning 70% of ODIs and 40/68 tests, losing only 11, ICC Knockouts have been tough for Team India, let's see where Rohit's leadership takes us. (Point in mind that he's gonna be 35 this year and would only captain till 2023 world cup, assuming that because his fitness isn't very good).
