The VP has been given the opportunity to answer questions about the spending of her office's previous budget but she did not answer any of those. I as a taxpayer deserve to know where my tax money goes. This is not about persecuting the VP, this about transparency above all else.

No one ever accused her of being a bad person. That's your own interpretation. CoA just wanted accountability of past performance in relation to the judgement of 2025's budget. OVP said she won't answer the questions regarding the current proposed 2025 budget, so where else could you use your basis of judgement but from the past budget allocations diba? Ayaw mong talakayin yung ngayon, edi tanungin nalang natin ang nakaraan nang sa gayon mapagdesisyunan namin kung may natira pang pondo o sadyang nawaldas. As for Marcoleta, citing tradition instead of citing actual law / committee rules shows how 18 years of turning a blind eye can change a person. I'm sure that in his 18 years of serving the Philippine government, no VP has dared to ask for a confidential / intelligence fund. The current OVP broke said tradition, and it is still within the jurisdiction and duty of the CoA to inquire in the face of such unprecedented turn of events. It's sad to say that Hon Marcoleta seems to not be able to adapt with the times and that his 18 years in politics becomes more of a hindrance in judgement instead of a wealth of knowledge.
