I’m from the Philippines and there were Marines stationed here who literally created a Harem of underaged girls ages 12 - 17 years old (at a point they had 27 girls). Well said! As someone who served I agree that military personnel are not above reproach. I am so sorry that US Marines did that in your country or anywhere else. There are times when I find myself tired and disgusted when it comes to the US's service personnel.

The saddest part is, the reason they are stationed here is because the Philippines was an ally of the US and as an ally my country allowed the establishment of a US air base in PH in exchange for US support. It was an amicable arrangement between allies. We were not enemies hence, it is more painful that this happened. Nonetheless, we do understand that a couple of people's actions should not be generalized.

Despite my currently far left leaning political views, I grew up very conservative and still want to hear where people are at all across the political spectrum. There have been past conservative panelists i don't agree with, but I appreciated hearing what they had to say or how they were making sense of things. ALTHOUGH, I do get a little bored with the Abby and Candace Cameron types who seem to be very meek and only open their mouths to share on one topic(either military or "family values"). Meghan, however, is unbelievably rude, petulant, arrogant, abrasive and entitled. She frustratingly equates people's dislike of her attitude and lack of professionalism with bullying conservatives or the political right. She doesn't seem to get that there usually aren't problems or at the very least outright *hostility* amongst the panelists until SHE takes it there, EVERY time, even if she has a valid point or not. I served my nation for 24 years and served two as a state trooper, and as a veteran I can tell that not all military men/women are good people. You will always going to have that bad apple, just like any other profession. So NOOBODY in the USA, from the president on down is above the law.

I see the point of Meghan because being in the military once, I agree with her that being in the military, you are basically giving up all your rights and life just like what her father did. I understand why she needs to defend military people out of respect for her father, John McCain. I will do the same thing if I am Meghan. But NOT everyone who served in the military is like his father who fought for what is right. A classic example is Michael Flynn. That is the point that Joy is trying to bring to Meghan. They just can't see eye to eye because they came from two different backgrounds but both have legit and reasonable grounds to fight their opinions. I hope Meghan stays in the View because we need to keep the check and balance of the show, where both parties are represented.

I can't stomach watch the View anymore while McCain is on there. I stopped tuning in about a year ago. I now only watch clips on RU-vid if something interesting happens ( like someone checking her), and even then I skip over her if she speaks over 15 secs.

My father served 28 years in the Air Force and is a Vietnam vet. He would hunt me down if I behaved like MM. My mother would return from the dead and to set me straight. The majority of adults who were military children do not behave like her. We show respect to our elders even if we disagree.
