Gene Wood was a game show legend. He really got started with announcing when he worked on an early 70s revival of "Beat the Clock". When the original host left after a couple of years, they had him step in as host for its last couple of seasons. Also, the "Double Dare" show he did was a mid-70s show unrelated to the kids cable game show of the 80s. It too happened to be hosted by Alex Trebek. He also did "Family Feud", "Password Plus", "Super Password", "Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak", "Your Number's Up", "Match Game", "Win, Lose, or Draw", and I believe he briefly did "Love Connection" as well. He also did a few spots for Game Show Network in its early years as well.

Trebek absolutely would not give up on holding Lisa’s hand. Somehow it’s even weirder when he’s dressed like a dad at a Father’s Day picnic

Please do this whole tournament I think this one is fun for everyone, its got ol' big bad Trebek, you guys are getting into it. I'm sad I missed the baggage days but I'm now fully enthralled with all Jomboy media.

Lisa’s time was actually 48, and the day-2 winner of the tourney (Allison I think) had 48 as their time after replay review, but they said Lisa’s time was 49 so she was knocked out. In all fairness though, it seemed like they were slow flipping the doors when Allison was going for the car.
