Great selections so far. Definitely try more & try different genres. There's animes that tug on heart strings and animes that make people die from laughter. Or fear. Also don't feel obligated to watch in sub, there's an obsessed cult like following for sub but do whatever feels more comfortable for you.

There’s actually some less intense anime. So far, you’ve only seen two action animes and a psychological thriller. There’s actually many romance shows, slice-of-life shows, and comedies. There’s several more genres than that, but I wanted the list short. Some action animes are a lot more light-hearted in nature, but will get intense when the situation becomes more serious like My Hero Academia. I guess what I’m trying to say is there’s a variety. Action animes tend to be the most popular because they have some of the most dramatic and exhilarating scenes. I know several that have left me awestruck. Other than action, I love slice-of-life. I guess I just really like slow burn shows.
