I don’t give a F**K what anyone says, this movie ( the ultimate edition ) is one of my all time favorite comic book movies. Snyder gets unnecessary hate in my opinion. The warehouse fight scene and the Bane/Batman fight in DKR are my all time favorite Batman movie fight scenes.

The "Martha" moment is a controversial one, many didn't like it or understand it while others just saw it as a joke. I took it as this, it's not about their mothers sharing a name. Batman didn't see Superman as a human being,he saw him as an alien who doesn't care about humanity. Luthor played into this with the letters & intercepting the checks Bruce was sending to the disabled guy. The reason Supermans cut hasn't healed right away is because it's still dark out. Supermans powers are from the Sun, so if it was daylight out he'd heal quickly, but since it's not it takes a while. When Lois tells him "It's his mother's name" it clicked for him that he was in fact human. Superman is about to die and he's still pleading to his killer to save her. From Batman's perspective, he suffers from PTSD and Martha is the last word his father said when he felt helpless to save them. It was also the last time Bruce felt helpless because he vowed to never be again. But when Superman arrived that's exactly what he felt again because he was unprepared. Now Snyder recently talked about it as being about the fact they do have something in common that connects them and he always thought it was a cool moment. The writer Chris Terrio has never spoken about it, so I don't know his point of view. The creature is Doomsday, it's not the same Doomsday as in the comics but in the comics Doomsday kills Superman and that's basically it. It has returned with a bigger backstory, but he was originally just created to kill Superman. Though technically Superman didn't actually die in the comics he was just in a healing stasis. This version of Doomsday is a mutation of Zod, which harkens back to the Smallville TV show where that version was the cloned version of Zod's son. The end of the film right before Superman dies was a great emotional scene. If you remember the scene where Jonathan talks about how he felt guilty and had nightmares for years because of the damage he caused the neighboring farm & how Martha coming into his life allowed him to finally sleep comfortably. She became his world. So when Superman says "This is my world, YOU are my world" and he smiles that's his nightmares going away and how he's finally happy and knows who he is and what he wants for this world. Throughout the 2 films he was struggling with who he is, then he is announced to the world & he struggles to be accepted. Now he no longer has that weight on his shoulders. As for your "Just give the spear to Batman" no warrior or soldier would put another person's life in danger to protect themselves. Besides at that moment Wonder Woman and Batman were busy trying to keep him in one spot. If you want to see who that creature was at the end with Luthor, then watch Zack Snyder's Justice League. It's 4 hours long, not the 2 hour one as that's not how it was supposed to end. You'll know a lot more about those other characters you saw in the videos. In the comics Batman is paranoid of Superman, he even creates an entire contingency plan against the Justice League just in case they ever turn bad. In the film Batman doesn't know anything about Superman, he just knows one day these two God's are fighting, causing buildings to fall and people to die and that made him feel the same feeling he had as a kid with his parents dying, helpless. Alfred even says it "So that's how it starts, the feeling of powerlessness, that turns good men, cruel" Batman in the comics becomes good friends with Superman but still keeps Kryptonite on him just in case, Batman has grown up in a very bleak world. Great reaction, I wish more open minded viewers like you were around when these films were released because they were financially successful but way too many close minded gatekeeping people were louder than us who loved it.

I LOVE the warehouse scene where Batman goes to rescue Superman's mom. I'm TELLING you. This is the BEST choreographed fight scene of any live-action Batman film to date!! Hands down. Affleck Batman is the only live-action Batman who also has the physical presence of the comic book Batman. He's the Batman come to life straight from the pages of the comics! A lot of folks rip on this movie, but I absolutely love this film. I also like the element of adding real-life politics to the mix. Seriously. If super-powered beings did exist, you KNOW there would be all sorts of political narratives surrounding that concept. But the best part of all was the unexpected help of none other than Wonder Woman! The film does feel sad with the loss of Superman. But it's the perfect moment to form a league. Side note: Doomsday killed Superman in the comic books, too. Don't let this stop you from continuing your journey into the DCEU! WONDER WOMAN is the next film to watch. 👍 -OG

Not gone lie...that warehouse scene was lit, always been my favorite part. Its one thing to make an enemy out of Superman but Batman is a tragic character stuck with his parents murder everyday, when Lex took Martha, he should've did his research before his arrest. Batman had a whole epiphany.

Batman has mastered 129 different fighting styles. He also has contingency plans that will kill everyone in the justice league if they go rouge. Batman is the Man hands down and remember, he's still just a human!

My 2nd all time favorite Superman movie behind Man of Steel. Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman is my favorite version. You've got to go through the DCEU. Wonder Woman next

Hey Devin. The next movie is Justice league. Everyone will tell you to watch the Zack Snyder cut. And it is the better of the two, but you gotta watch it after seeing the theatrical release. Zack Snyders cut is actually way better after seeing the original theater cut. The theatrical cut just flows from this movie so much better. Also Don’t listen to the haters that say the DC movies suck. I think they’re bangers. Then again Superman is my favorite superhero right before Batman. I love the DC movies! Batman was mad at Superman because of the things Lex was manipulating. Lex set it up for them to hate each other and played them both perfectly.

The reason is , this batman has been in gotham and trained for over 20 years, hes broken because all the times he would catch the villains like Joker, penguin, riddler, bane, etc they would escapse and repeat and after years of that even gordon ended up losing his credentials at the top so batman slowly went down a dark path after Joker murdered robin, thats why the spray paint on the robin costume says Ha HA Jokes on you. That happened in the comics, joker trotured and murdered robin and batman couldnt find and save him in time, so that had him go down the path he was on, and his demons were also coming out from doubt, kind of like superman when he was doubting he was doing the right thing because nothing ever worked out the way it meant to, its really just a duality of those characters having to go through hell, they just faced different threats and odds that lead to the doubt. Lex set up everything and used the crippled employee to taunt batman as if it was from superman mocking him about his family dying and those in the tower in metropolis on the fight with zod. Lex knows bruce was batman and that Clark was superman and all the other heroes shown, he knows all of their weakness and strengths, what way to go to mess with them, and lex built it up and continued to set superman up to piss batman off knowing batman isnt worried about not killing after robin was murdered by joker. Batman is in his mid to late 40s at this point, he has mental trauma from his parents, but he feels he failed gotham and those who died, especially robin because he didnt do what was necessary to stop people being killed or attacked by criminals he continued to stop and let live. Hes also very broken with alcohol and pain medication on top of other things. Hes a broken batman, just like with superman being broken near their fight, but the reason batman stopped was the fact when he was about to finish superman off he mentioned martha and realized when lois said its his mom that superman who was about to be finished off only cared to save his mother, which bruce had to live with not saving his mother, so that helped him realize hes gone way off the path, hence why at the end he made it clear to save martha and then why he was upset at himself at the funeral. I Could go into way more but its pretty much both were psychologically manipulated by lex, who knew everything about them, the whole kryptonite salvage was set up to have batman steal it all along and for lex to act like he had it stolen, when he from the start made it that way so it would be taken by batman and to not see the manipulation. Everything that happens with lex is already calculated and planned , the bombing of the capital was done mostly to send bruce to his breaking point which is why he sent the you let your family die stuff at the time of the event so it would break him in a way he would steal it and aim to kill superman, before that bruce didnt like superman but lex used robins death and everything else to push him that far, because bruce still wasnt dead set on taking out superman. Lex manipulated superman in many ways to hate bruce as well. Though he didnt expect either to work together. Theres a lot more too but this is just the basic ground level of the story, i can explain more if needed but i doubt many read this much lol great reaction as always, enjoy seeing you get hyped with action scenes.

Part of why Batman had a new kind of mean in him is because this is a seasoned Batman who has already fought crime in Gotham for 20 years. Within those 20 years, he saw much horror. It hardened him. The death of Robin at the hands of the Joker is one such experience he had to endure. Over time, he became the thing he always fought against. It was a weak moment. Lex Luthor, Jr. saw this vulnerability and decided to amplify it with creating false narratives about Superman in the political media sphere and to manipulate Superman, too. By luring Superman to a hearing to which he would be blamed for everyone's death. Get Superman off balance by kidnapping his mom and pushing 🫸 Lois off the building. But it all failed. Unfortunately, Lex reached out into the cosmos. You think we had problems here? Just wait. ..... -OG

Both superman and batman could have killed each other in different parts of the movie because if batman would have got him with the spear it self it would have been curtains for supes... Great Reaction!

The Batman hated Superman for one because of the destruction he caused the world but also this is an older Batman he’s seen ALOT at this point robin has even died at this point so he had very low tolerance for criminals and he was easy manipulate which is what lex was doing this entire movie. Lex wanted to expose Superman to the world because of his own childhood traumas. He wanted him to fight the Batman to the death because if he loses then he is not all powerful and if he wins then he’s not all good so the people can see the “truth” about him

God I really hope the Superman reboot is a good take. Henry Cavill was the perfect casting and Snyder wasted his true potential imo. Still enjoyed the films.. but relly missed legendary status like the Dark knight trilogy, or even the first/second marvel phases.

if you wanna know who that last character is you have to watch "Zack Snyder's: Justice League" don't watch the original because its not even close to the quality of his version. Snyder was originally the director of the movie but had serious family hardships that hit at the time and then left the project for someone else to finish... it wasn't what it should have been. Then a few years ago HBO Max put Snyder's version on their platform and it was so different that the whole world agrees that his version is the better of the two. Enjoy. This movie is so well made. Is it perfect? Hell no. But it's a movie that everyone wanted, and it wasn't made like Granny's Peach Tea. I agree with the rest of the comments.
