"Come To Me" was the sweetest song from the GGD's I'd ever heard. It made me buy a few of their albums, but it's still my favourite, along with "Not Broken" & "Home" 💗
Been a fan of GGD’s for a long time. Saw them live 2 nights ago and “Come To Me” was amazing in what was one of my favorite concerts. My wife immediately said that it’s her “new”favorite GGD song. John Rezeznik has never sounded better. Incredible show!
Love me some Goo! My daughter and I have seen them 4 times in concert. I cry at Iris (reminds me of my deceased soulmate) and she cries at Name (reminds her of her deceased dad). We always bring tissues and hug each other throughout the concert!
The Go Go Dolls are a great band - so underrated. They started back in the mid-90s and had great radio-friendly hits well into the 2000s. They have great songwriting, their instrumentation is amazing and they bring a ton of passion to their performances and are super creative. Makes them fun to watch and they made really good videos that make you think. I see very few reactions and only to their most well-known hit Iris which was made for a movie. So much more in their catalog to listen to. Enjoy this rabbit hole.
Robbie is the bass player; he and John are best friends and have played together forever. Both from a working class area of Buffalo. So humble, so real. John is an amazing songwriter and charismatic. Also incredibly smart and witty; some of his anecdotes will have you on the floor. Love most of their stuff, but my favourite is Sympathy (Jon Bon Jovi's brother shot the video); John doesn't like to play it and sometimes screws up the lyrics which is hilarious. Love the live version of Iris played in Buffalo on July 4th in the POURING RAIN.
Beautiful. I have to admit, I don't think I've ever looked beyond 'Iris' and 'Slide' with these guys, even though I love both those songs. Thanks for kicking my ass into listening to more of them, I'm definitely going to go deeper, better late than never.
Really enjoyed all of those songs and video's, I shall check out more of the Goo Goo Dolls. Thanks. You know what i am going to say lol James Arthur please haha
My favorite band since I was 5 years old. Johnny has clearly been through a lot to be able to sing with such pain and beauty. I hope to make it as a singer someday and I'll owe a lot of my inspiration to The Goo Goo Dolls.
