Watching "H2O: Just Add Water" (Season 2 FINALE Reactions!) 

Never in my life I thought I’d be so exited to watch two grown men watch a show made for tweenage girls. But here I am and I couldn’t be happier.

Early S2 episodes: "Idk why everyone was saying Charlotte is so terrible; I actually really like her." S2 finale episodes: "WHAT A BITCH. WHAT A BITCH!!"

great little detail, "All I ever wanted was for you to care for me" not "All I ever wanted was to care for you". She didn't feel like she was giving and giving and sacrificing for louis and then her efforts were snubbed for someone else, she felt like she had earned a trophy and then someone else snaked her prize from her. There are a lot of great details like that of charlotte that show she has sociopathic tendencies, and that she views everything through the lens of her social anxieties. Everything is in the context of how it helps or hinders her goals or her position in the hierarchy, plus she thinks everyone else has the same perspective. Other people must be doing things for the purpose of manipulation, because that's why she would be doing them. It's also why her rivalry with Cleo works so well, because Cleo HAS been guilty of that herself, being manipulative or assuming the worst of people in a couple of situations, so Charlotte is a really good foil for her character and reinforces Cleo's character arc.

I read the title like- "Wait, they already reached the finale? But Charlotte's not even evil yet-" and then looked at the thumbnail and was like- "FIFTY THREE MINUTES?! HELL YEAH"

Please don’t listen to the hate of season 3, in my opinion it’s such a great season. Cleo’s character ark from season 1-3 is crazy good and she’s even more of an icon

Season 3 goes off the rails so fast, it's such a gem

So, I won’t speak for everyone, but we didn’t hate Charlotte “blindingly.” We hate her for how more sociopathic she’s become throughout this season. In the begininning I actually kinda liked her. I’ve watched this show multiple times, so I know what happens, and that’s why a lot of us said you wouldn’t like Charlotte, because we knew what she would become. None of it was blindingly - it’s deserved. Also, I think the reason the girls kept wanting Lewis to talk to Charlotte is because she won’t listen to them at all. They tried reasoning with her. So they may think that Lewis could actually get through to her. It’s like he’s her “weak spot."

Really happy with these reaction vids. My favourite ones! I will say I agree with you two at the final thoughts section. I did feel like they didn’t use the time they had to flesh out the characters or dive deep (see what I did there~?) into The characters progressing in this series. Rather in the first series they had all the time in the world to explore the mythos, in here the writers might have been in that same mind set, taking their time until it was too late to get into Charlotte’s Evil Transformation and Ash and Maya’s relationship. I would’ve loved it if Charlotte’s darker side manifested into that Water Snake hydra we saw in the climax. Maybe they could’ve done something like Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2. Have the water snakes be her self doubt, Rage and Greedy. Maybe even mirror that with her saying: “The Power of the Moon, In the Palm of My Hand!” I also think Cleo & Lewis’s relationship could’ve been better but compared to Charlotte, it’s better then nothing. i love that the entire season they've been like I don't get the charlotte hate, only to want her dead now because her evil arc is condensed in the final episode (with hints at it throughout)

Season 3 was sooooo bad imo, but I think the creators did the best that they could with the cards they were dealt because of actors leaving and all. I’d like to say season 2 should’ve been the end of the series, but this show was such a guilty pleasure that I absorbed every second of season 3 like it wasn’t absolute garbage. Sad to see the show end. :(
