To explain this game a bit: Bonnie and Chica are the ones coming to the doors, both require listening for the breathing The so called Freddles spawn on the bed while the player doesn’t flash at it and the player has to flash them away frequently to prevent them from merging into Freddy who immediately kills the player Foxy enters the closet from Night 2 onwards and if the player sees him there the player has to close the door of the closet for a few seconds to reset Foxy and prevent him from attacking the player

Two notes: 1. If you close the door when Bonnie or Chica are at the end of the hall instead of at the door, they'll approach the door instantly. This is what happened at both 11:57 and 13:18; he closed the door prematurely, allowing Bonnie to move closer. 2. Foxy starts out in the halls and tries to make his way into the room by randomly choosing a hallway to go down. If you catch him at the end of the hall, you've stopped him from getting in that time; however, if you approach the door he's NOT at, that's when he'll get in (as signified by the 'closet door moves on its own' animation). You can tell which direction he goes based on subtly different footstep sounds.

AUGHH !!! This game always gets me, despite the years passing I'm still not desensitized to these jumpscares. All of the jumpscares but the beginning one got me. Even Mark squeaking the nose got me, BRUH 😂😂

Scott keeps saying "this is the last one", so youll hear this the next few beginnings with Mark for the next few games. Obv hes playing it as its come out, so its what Scotts saying then and there. Also theres always a toy that squeaks, and Marks mission is to find it lol.

My favorite part of FNAF 4 for me is definitely the designs of the animatronics. Nightmare Fredbear is still one of the favorite designs ever made in this franchise and to all the other nightmares. The gameplay is a close 2nd. I think the reason why FNAF 4 is scarier than the other games is because you have to listen a lot more. The other games did this as well with the footsteps in FNAF 1 and the vent noises in FNAF 2 and 3. But FNAF 4 actively needs you to pay attention. When you listen for breathing, you feel like you are in the game and having it be dead silent makes the jumpscare more worse than the other games have done. I guess you can say FNAF 6 had that feeling as well with the sound lures in the vents but the scares in that game were way weaker than the ones in this game. Fun fact about FNAF 4: it took Scott 1-2 weeks to make a single animatronic in FNAF 4. It usually took him 1-2 days for FNAF 1 and 2 but took 3-4 for FNAF 3, specifically Springtrap. It took longer because of all the holes and rips in the suit and the sharp teeth.

This game is very hard, scary, but also the easiest to understand. It’s all about getting in a check routine with each animatronic and getting used to listening very carefully and quickly, which is why nights 5-6 are very tough and you’ll see why. Looking forward to this series, fnaf 4 is one of my personal favs!

FNaF 4 is all about sound. Listening for breathing when you shut the door, listening for slight footsteps, and then all the excess noise that makes it harder to hear, making you listen closer and making the sudden jumpscares all the louder. I genuinely love FNaF 4 and think it’s one of the scariest games, but even the designs for the animatronics, although a bit over the top, are pretty good (Nightmare/Nightmare FredBear and Nightmarrione in particular are some of my favorite designs in the series)

Fnaf 4 might be my favorite i love how the jumpscares are million times louder than the breathing so you have to listen to closely and up your volume to hear it. but then die of the jumpscares loudness haha

Same for me... Even when I was try harding the 10 stars... They are just 3 levels above every other game (except Nightmare and Nightmarionne). And after FNAF 3's jumpscares, it was a shock. The only other one that gets me is Withered Foxy since he literally jumps at my throat. If I ever play HW in VR, maybe those will get me too...

I am not sure if I have a favorite part. This one gets me every time i watch it again. I jumped this time. So I would say I love the parts where he is learning and getting more confident. I am so glad you are on this one and I can't wait for the next one!!

I feel like The Joy Of Creation is 10x scarier. It’s a subseries-fangame that takes the animatronics to your house like here, but it’s a FPS as well. Probably created the most well known fangame jumpscare of all time, that being Bonnie straight up decking you in the face.

Really interesting lore tidbit about the weird gravely radio static you can hear in the background at some points: it's actually a reversed and heavily distorted version of Phone Guy's first call in FNaF1. Easter eggs in FNaF are rarely meaningless, and FNaF4 is all but confirmed to take place a full decade before FNaF1, so the inclusion of that audio specifically is really interesting

After Dittophobia, I will never look at the FNAF 4 bedroom the same ever again. To those who are confused, the final Tales book got leaked and one of the stories, Dittophobia, outright explains FNAF 4. No use of “parallels” or “it’s just a different continuity” can be said about it. This one story straight up shows what both FNAF 4 and Sister Location was trying to tell us. Basically, Afton created hallucination gas to test the fear levels in children. Afton would target children, mainly those who have a rough home life, and kidnap them to run his experiments. The protagonist of the story, Rory, is the only survivor of the FNAF 4 experiments and has experienced the gas for most of his life. He finally learns that he was being tested on since he was 7 years old for 10 straight years and had no idea. What I’m trying to say is that this story proves that Afton’s been pure evil the entire time. The argument that he was an (okay-ish) person but turned fully evil after The Bite of 83 can now be thrown out. Afton never cared for his children or anyone close to him. That’s probably the reason why Michael hated his brother; William caused their relationship to become toxic and led to his son’s death. This story made me both hate Afton as well as love him even more. I love the fact it makes him more a terrible person

So on the last death mark had even though he shut the door is because if you decide to shut the door without listing for breathing if there at the far end of the hallway and not at your door you're supposed to use the light but if you shut the door instead they run to the door because you didn't see them

FNAF 4 is genuinely one of the most unnerving experiences I've ever had in a video game. I've played things like Outlast, The Evil Within, Amnesia, Alien: Isolation, and even P.T. consistently and have become desensitized to all of them over the years. But FNAF 4 still gets be even after so many years. The tension in this game is physically tangible and it shows throughout every single Let's Player's series on it.

This game was always the scariest I mean not just because of the nightmare design or the house atmosphere but the fact that it's your fault for every death. You have to directly approach the doors and check for Chica or Bonnie and listenen for breathing or forgetting to pay attention to Foxy or Freddy and the whole story of the game alone is quite tragic. The little Freddy's are called Freddles I don't know if that's thier official name or was a fan named given like Golden Freddy or Scraptrap. The breathing was made louder for people to hear it better cause most couldn't hear the breathing at all. I believe this is one of only 2 major changes made to the original fnaf games the other being night 4 for Sister location which was made easier.
