In english for some reason we like to mention the city in the club name. Sporting CP = Sporting Lisbon, or Athletic Club = Athletic Bilbao. It's wrong but meh, we do it anyway.
You got to come back for the Lisbon derby between Benfica and Sporting and the Clássico between Benfica and Porto and also a lesser known game for foreigners the Minho derby between Vitória SC and Braga
As a Benfica fan I would say the Lisbon Derby is the most "emotional" and classical game in Portugal. But the fiercest and most agressive one is generally Benfica - Porto. Sporting and Porto fans can correct me but I don't think Sporting-Porto is considered that big of a rivalry, every Sporting and Porto fan I know says they consider Benfica their biggest rival. Not saying we are the best because of it just the general attitude of the fans.

Just one thing I have to tell you, being in Lisbon and eat a francesinha is like going to the US to eat fish and chips 🤣 (francesinha is a typical dish from the north part of the country and where you eat the best ones) Glad you enjoyed the ambiance in Alvalade and good call on Pepe's being sent off. And yeah, anyone other than Porto fans and some "football commentators" also don't understand how that goal was disallowed. Cheers.

As a Benfica fan i loved the video, "come to lisbon to get a francesinha" and "Sporting lisbon" must be the funniest accidental banter as a neutral in this situation it was glorious xd

You should come to Greece for the upcoming PAOK derbies. PAOK-Olympiacos will be the first match with supporters after a 2 months ban and the rivalry between the 2 clubs is FIERCE, its the biggest Greek derby along with Olympiacos vs Panathinaikos. You will love Toumba Stadium.
