The scene in Reaching Out where Luz confesses to Amity why she's been acting strange is so sad, because as much as she tries to display a positive, upbeat attitude, she's carrying a lot of pain inside. And the look of realization Amity gets just adds to the anguish, like "Oh Titan, my _batata_ is suffering right now. 😢"
Casual heartbreaking realization that Luz relieved the experience with her dad in S1 when she realized Eda's curse was getting worse Crikey, Lumity is hands down, the best couple I've seen in any media -this decade century- ever. No extensive will-they-won't-they, no cheap drama, no dumb miscommunication, Their relationshipis a product of the way they are written instead of the opposite. They work through issues instead of avoiding them, and they make each other better. TAKE NOTES, HOLLYWOOD!
Exactly! This is what I more or less said in my last comment! No tension for the mere sake of shippign fuel, no uncertainty of whether they get together or not, and most of all, they don't leave the pairing for the end of the series. That's really annoying! 😑
@@KitCatIsNotACat At least that one was more understandable. It's not like they interacted from day one like other series. Plus The Owl House was cut short, so really isn't the creator's fault for not being able to expand it more.
So, you probably noticed that when Willow said "It'll be 52 weeks until his next day off" that there was a cloud in the shape of a heart in the left hand corner of the screen... Yeah, that's intentional. There is ALWAYS a heart between Hunter and Willow.
@@DigiVixen Yep, go back and watch. There are a ton of scenes with Willow and Hunter where there is a heart between them. This scene, one in Labyrinth Runners, For the Future, and so on. But, then again, the crew were shipping them before Hunter was even introduced as a character from what I've heard, so this isn't a surprise. Sometimes being not subtle is better.
2:17 Funny thing is, that’s not actually what Camila said in episode 10. Luz’s anxiety warped the memory. Camila actually says “When you come home, promise you’ll stay here. I didn’t mean to push you away, I swear, things will be different” But Luz recalls: “promise you’ll stay with me and never go back to that horrible place”
24:40 "They remember now?" Just seconds earlier, you cut off the fact that they whistled into the soup, changing it's chemistry as demonstrated earlier in the episode. They know that it's designed to make them obedient again, so they've been playing along from the start. (yes even during the encounter with Eda at the parade, just to keep cover with all certainty)

You may have noticed at the end of ep14 that Amity's glyph circle was uneven. This detail (while not necessarily super important) gets referenced later in a montage. Also, Luz draws perfect circles, which some people tend to "consider" (for lack of better phrasing) to be one of her innate powers/skills or smth
I would have loved it if they gave the Abominations some sentient facial expressions and emotions so they could have some comical reactions to whatever impending pain they're about to receive.
What an unfortunate episode to glitch on, I never make it through that scene without tears in my eyes. Something about Luz's legs giving out on her at the end after pouring her heart out too.
Oh my goodness. “The emperor is looking forward to meeting you…” I’ve watched the series like 3 times, and only just now do I get that he was referring to the time travel episode
It's interesting to note that the flashback of Camila telling Luz to come home and never go back to the demon realm isn't actually what she said; brilliant use of unreliable narrator. What she SAID was (if I remember right) to please come back to her. That's it.
Camila's actual line was more along the lines of "things will be different". This won't be the only time Luz misremembers something to be worse due to what Eda referred to in Separate Tides as her "guilt-ridden brain".
The sad part about season 2 and 3 is that it was about midway through making season 2 that they found out they weren't going to get a full season 3, and instead only got to make 3 45 minute specials. The ending is still really good but you can see in some spots where they had to rush a plot threat or drop it altogether because there just wasn't enough time for all of it.
This is an accurate description. The show does indeed get better and better the more you see it. It started out... kinda average and slow, but boy does it go from 10 to 100 in a flash! 🌩

Yeah it was after those 2 episodes the Fandom dubbed Darius to be Hunter's father figure. Also how the Hunter x Willow ship started. Rain is awesome and their VA is also non binary. Luz having a dead parent is something to match the shows creator. At a young age they lost both parents and went to go live with a old family member.

Episode 11: I freakin love Kiki. I have a thing for unrepentant bitch characters, they’re one of my favorite kinds of characters. So I’ve really enjoyed Kiki. And while I didn’t trust her this episode, I was willing to see how this all played out. I love that what brought Kiki down this episode wasn’t that she was lying about her family stuff, it’s that her ambition got the best of her. She’s basically where S1 Lilith was and Hunter is, desperately doing anything to move up in the ranks and gain Belos’ favor. It’s also made clear that she’s not highly thought of in the EC. Which just helps her look more pathetic. I love a pathetic and petty bitch. I don’t know. I just like that this episode gave some depth to another of the Emperor’s underlings. I like when antagonists can be more than one note. And this also explains why Kiki, Lilith, and Hunter were in the intro together despite Lilith having defected. They’re all going through/went through the same brainwashing shit. Also, “…What do I get?” “You get… to live.” Yo, that delivery. Terra is frickin terrifying (Pun intended). Props to her VA throughout the whole episode actually. Episode 14: And episodes like this are where I’m reminded that Sarah Nicole Robles got an Annie (I believe) for her work as Luz and that she deserves every bit of it. I think this is some of, if not the best work she’s done on this show when she’s telling Amity about her dad.

Sorry I'm late I was in college (not going to like I got a teacher who legit reminds me of Lilith but with pink hair and different glasses), but I was so hyped to come home and watch it because I knew it would be hilarious and fun to watch! Dude with Eda's Dad and Luz's Dad I felt that to my CORE and I was tearing up because God DANG that hit me like a brick, the Lumity moments through the whole thing had me like you just like "AWWW WHY ARE THEY SO CUTE" and the blushing had me and the nicknames, dude Lilith really is the cool aunty she is AMAZING and her punching Philip (Belos) in the nose was awesome YES QUEEN, I love how you are falling in love with Hooty- I adore that owl/worm he's hilarious and adorable, and RAEDA HAD ME they are ADORABLE together and they deserve everything! There's so much to talk about! Each and every single episode here was amazing, and the next ones are even better! Season 2 and the entire series at it's peak! Memorize what happened in Elsewhere and Elsewhen. It's... well, not saying it. Next episodes are... well, bring a defibrillator. Or an oxygen tank. Hehe, whatever suits you. Anyway, now that the video is officially out, can we stop for a moment to appreciate how... incredibly healthy Lumity is? I'm not even a huge fan of shipping and I hate how some fandoms only want to talk about pairings when a show has much more to offer than just that, but I just ADORED the way that ship was handled. Follies at the Coven Day parade is one of my favorites because any other show would've likely had Amity look at that video just to create drama, but nope. She respected Luz's privacy and decided to simply talk about it instead and waited for Luz to be ready to tell her. And then comes Reaching Out. Their first fight... and yet it was a very understandable one. Nevertheless, everything was solved and fine at the end... for the simple fact that they communicated and talked about the issue, as it should be!
Don't worry, you're not the first reactor to miss Raine's pronouns at first. The first mention is pretty subtle and some of the others can slip by if you're not looking for them. As a they/them myself, I'm just thankful that every Owl House reactor I've watched is willing to use the correct pronouns once they know.
Hunter is a bit better at improve than that suggests. Remember they all live on the titan, the blights address is on the right(pretty sure right) arm (the business card said so in episode 2 of season 2) so transferring from "the toes" is totally possible, and far enough away that theres little likelihood anyone would know hes not from there
