Fahad Shah was a student in 2009 when he launched Kashmir Walla, a modest blog that would grow into a vital voice in the fraught landscape of Jammu & Kashmir. Over the years, Shah’s work came to embody a passionate dedication to journalism-until 2022, when he was arrested under India’s stringent anti-terror laws, accused of 'propagating terror.' He is not alone. Since the Indian government's abrogation of Article 370, which revoked Jammu & Kashmir's special status, journalism in the region has become increasingly difficult. In this account, Shah reflects on his journey, the evolution of Kashmir Walla, and the 600 days he spent as a prisoner.

Basically we people of Kargil went through more than what Kashmir is been through on the other hand Leh and Jammu danced because of the hatred for the Muslims, They want to look more dominant but they had no idea of what they’re losing now after 6 years people of Jammu are protesting and demanding restoration of 370 where Leh people are on their march to Delhi. Mark my word they won’t get anything just sympathy and cheers but not the 6th schedule. Never be silent against the tyrant and oppression. Hope things get better ❤️‍🩹

I had to comment on this. The real hero's do exist. That pain in your eyes when you speak about your sufferings. I was a passive reader of kashmir walla. Disheartened to see it go. People like these will be remembered throughout centuries. People like him sacrificed their career, life for their people in Kashmir. No one's contribution will be wasted. It is these sacrifices that compound over time and takes lead to complete end to colonial rule. More power to Fahad Shah and everyone in Kashmir who are fighting for their people either directly or indirectly.

Does anyone remember the massacre, rape and forced migration of Kashmiri pandits and many Muslims too? The rape and murder perpetrated by Pakistani LeT, JeM, Al Badar, HUM, etc, not counted? I have spent 4+ years in Srinagar during the most turbulent times and deeply appreciate the calmness, development, prosperity and peace now.

Just curious if any publicstion he did on hindu pandits of kashmir and whole chaos..same for this channel..any items done on killing of kashmiri police men soilders etc..or else its just a biased propoganda.. defending 370 is very tough..good riddence..
