I`d so wish you were in Patagonia, Argentina. Watches and clocks from the XIX and XX Centuries are lost and dumped because no person really knows how to fix them properly as you do. Danke!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to video yourself at work. Its an absolute joy to sit here, and watch you. Towards the end of this video, I observed you using two oil application pens, could you tell me their name/brand and which oil you put in them?
Great work, and great trick with the knife! I had not heard of this, I will try it. You say the bristle brush is 'German silver' - this is I think nickel silver, and I would guess gives a better effect than a brass one.
Steffen, I am referring to the lyre shaped part with the three holes in the tourbillion movement. There is a blue rendering of the three armed part next to your response to my question. I am curious as to why the arms are curved instead of straight. david
I know this would take editing and involved shifting from views. It would have been great if we could see the close up of the work he was doing like winding the mainspring into the holde then the barrel work. After the close up the scene could shift to what we are watching now. It is wonderful to see this craftsman at work, Just would have like to seen a close up of what he is achieving.
I read somewhere that the plates on English (maybe also German) watches were matted not only with the brush but also were treated with hydrochloric acid to heighten the effect.
Hallo, entschuldigen Sie bitte meine schlechte Deutsch. Danke.
