This is the series in which Chaka, joined by fellow RU-vidr and ex JW activist Ruby Quinn ( @NewyorkerRican ) give their take on the week's Watchtower study that Jehovah's Witnesses all over the world will be reading and regurgitating at their meetings.
In this week's article (study article number 12 for May 27 - June 2 2024) entitled "Avoid the Darkness - Remain in the Light" (wol.jw.org/en/..., the Watchtower writers expose and shame Jehovah's Witnesses from "one country" who were involved in an X-rated online group chat. In the "Big Issue" segment, Ruby takes issues with the Watchtower writers' insistence that people can only understand the Bible if they read it alongside the publications produced by the Jehovah's Witnesses' leadership. This episode concludes with a poem by Alanna Anderson titled "So You Say". The episode contains a highlight reel from Ruby's Alternative Watchtower Study that can be viewed on Ruby's channel.
