He conviniently left out John 3 v 1 to 5 where Jesus makes it unambiguously clear to Nicodemus that we MUST be baptised to enter the kingdom of God. Verse 5: "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he CANNOT ENTER into the kingdom of God." Trust Jesus or Creflo? Acts 2 v 38 again makes water baptism a condition for the forgiveness of sins. Amen !! I just was Baptized Sunday November 20th 2022 last week 7 days ago . The bible says you must be Baptized, it means your making your confession unto Salvation. I thought I was saved all these years. God's Amazing Grace!!! I repented of all my sins and I am truly saved !! New Creation in Christ!!! Praise God!!

Many religions and doctrines believe that in reference to baptism, Jesus is referring to water baptism. This explanation is not satisfactory because if Jesus is referring to the Christian baptism, how was Nicodemus supposed to understand this concept? In John 3, baptism is nowhere mentioned. In fact, nowhere in the Bible are we told to do anything or work for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, For by grace you have been saved through faith. And no this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. In John 4:2, we are told that Jesus did not baptise people. Water baptism is an outward sign of being given the gift of salvation and not a requirement for salvation. In Luke 23:40-43, one of the criminals crucified next to Jesus says, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus replied, Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise. There was no requirement for baptism here. Born of water refers to the natural birth. Amniotic water which we floated in and when our mother's water broke, we were born into this world. This is the natural birth. We must have a physical birth first, just like everyone else, and the second must be a spiritual birth, which is a work of God and that's being born again.The problem with the interpretation of religion and doctrines is that there are no references to such a thought in the Old and New Testaments. Especially with Jesus’ teaching to Nicodemus. Since Nicodemus was a teacher of the Law, there has to be something from scripture to reveal this truth from scripture. In fact, Nicodemus was confused by this statement from Jesus and asked in John 3:9, How can these things be? Jesus responds in John 3:10, saying, Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? We must be born spiritually in the heart just as we are born physically. Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. As a baby does not contribute to the birth process, it's the same with the spiritual birth since it is a complete work of God according to Ephesians 2:8-9
Holy Spirit Baptism only occurred twice in the NT. First on the apostles on the day of Pentecost (Acts 1:4-5; 2:1-3). The 2nd and final time anyone else was baptized with the Holy Spirit was the household of Cornelius (Acts 10:44). In Acts 11:15-17, Peter points out that the HS falling on the household was the same "like gift" that fell on them "at the beginning." The "like gift" refers to the same gift the apostles received (HS Baptism). As everyone else received the gift of the Holy Spirit, not the baptism of the Holy Spirit. "At the beginning" is a reference to "when" the apostles were baptized with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost day. There was a ten year period between the two events. Holy Spirit Baptism was a prophecy of Joel. It began on the apostles and was fulfilled on the household of Cornelius. As for its purpose, it was never for forgiveness of sins, as water baptism is and has been (Mk.1:4-5; Lk.3:3; Jn.3:5; Acts 2:38; 1Pt.3:21). Joel propecised the HS would fall upon all flesh. When the Holy Spirit fell upon the apostles, they represented the Jewish nation. When the Holy Spirit fell upon the household of Cornelius, they represented the Gentile nation. Thus fulling Joel's prophecy "all flesh." Notice Peter's words when he witnessed the Gentiles receiving the like gift. "Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit." "Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? Peter remembered what John prophecised, and now understood it. The Holy Spirit falling upon the apostles, then upon the Gentiles was heavens decision, and who was he to argue it. This was a sign that God had granted repentance to the gentile nation. When news reached the other apostles that Peter went into the house of a Gentile, they questioned him. But after Peter explained Luke records "When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then has God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Since Pentecost, one continues to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit after they are baptized (Acts 2:38).
I got baptized at a Baptist Church at 4 years old do I need to be baptized again as an adult? And I was in a children choir and loved it. My mother was a organist and choir director and my father was a gospel singer and a deacon. We went to church at least 3 times a week. Including Sundays. Choir rehearsal Bible study and church Sunday morning and night mainly cause of my mother since she was the minister of music.

Our body should be soaked in water during baptism to cleanse our body from dirts! Then we receive the Holy Spirit to cleanse our souls from sins and this is what many of us called it as the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The scripture used to assure we are saved is I Corinthians 15:1-4 with Romans 3:35. A sinner must believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and then become water baptized.

Now notice how David charged his son Solomon to show or prove or act like a man but David not only charge his son to be a man but showed him in accordance to the word of God how he was to perform real manhood listed already above in verse 3. However king Solomon didn't become a real man until after he had an experience with God through prayer. For 2Chronicles 1:11-12 says: God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. Fast forwarding to Apostle Paul In 1 Corinthians 13:11 when he said: When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. Now the day Apostle Paul became a real man is the day he met Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus was what Apostle Paul was referring to in the book of Acts 9:1-9. Although God shows us how to become real men, God also sho ws us how to become a "real good man" according to Proverbs 13:22 as reads: A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. In other words, a good man must have a business plan that exceeds 200 years because his children and grandchildren may live to see 100 years. In other words, God doesn't praise men who have children but He brings them under indictment. This is the word for today. This however is how you measure all men and women in accordance to what the word of God says, not according to what people say in gossip. Genesis 2:17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” The tree of the knowledge of good and evil represented the world of satan who is the god of this world. When Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he died from manhood. For the tree of life represented God or Christ. This is why Jesus said to Nicodemus who came to Jesus by night: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 In other words, a man cannot see manhood until he is born again of the Spirit of God literally. John 3:5 says: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. The water represents a natural birth through a woman but the Spirit represents a supernatural birth through God or Christ Jesus. Notice how Jesus said to Nicodemus the time in John 3:3 that he cannot see the kingdom of God but in John 3:5 Jesus told Nicodemus that he can not enter the kingdom of God which is to say enter manhood. So how can you make the difference between men and boys. Simply put, a man see with His Spirit which is the Spirit of God.
For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They repented, were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38! Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life. That's what Acts 2:38 is. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT for a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures, and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOO long to be WRONG! St, John 5:39, search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS, and the other is a WORK OF FAITH If I buy you a cake and tell you to come to get it, and you refuse to, then you won't have the cake even though it's been fully paid for. Christ paid the full price for our salvation. If we refuse to come to him and obey Acts 2:38 as they did, how shall we receive his salvation? Noah believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN WORKED OR OBEYED TO BUILD THE ARK TO BE SAVED. LOT believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN OBEYED AND LEFT SODOM. This is why Jesus said, He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. We must believe and obey Acts 2:38. All scriptures have to harmonize together

About 30 minutes in, he read Romans six I believe versus 3:6 and then said that what he had just read, is what baptism represents. Why do so many evangelical types do that? It is not just that it represents it… It is… It. If done and repentance and faith, it… Is… It! It doesn’t just represent it! It… Is… It!!! This is why so many people, wait months and years to be baptized… Because people suppose that it is just an outward expression of an inward change. It is part of the change! Of course, that is not all that baptism in Jesus name does, but is certainly one of them, so if you have not had it done, once you have the opportunity, get it done! Do not go to the water apart from repentance and faith, or it will do nothing for you, because faith in the name is what causes it to be positively affected in our behalf. Those in act chapter 16 verses, 31 and following believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and immediately were baptized, so the apostles did not see this, as an optional added extra good thing to do, but as part of the package. I do not say all of this to be contentious or divisive, but baptism in Jesus name is much more important than a lot of people make it out to be and I think that part of it is because they’re afraid that they have to believe that if someone, for some reason was not able to be baptized/did not have the understanding would automatically go to hell, and that is not an necessity, in order to have a high view of water baptism. But none of the scriptures concerning baptism that I can find speak of it as merely symbolic, but actual and effectual. no that there is symbolism in baptism, but it is not just symbolic. I believe that Matthew 22, when speaking of the wedding is inferring baptism, and I believe that baptism is part of the wedding garment. We know for sure that it is new covenant circumcision, according to Colossians, chapter 2 versus 11 and following. Mini scholars believe that John 3:5 is at least partially referring to water baptism, the baptism of water and spirit, and you certainly see these core expressions all throughout the book of acts of people being baptized, in Jesus name, and filled with the Holy Ghost. But it is definitely new covenant circumcision and the way in which we seal our covenant and there is no doubt about that. When you know to do it, and you have the opportunity, if you are a truly repentant believer, you must do it in Jesus name.

These are not true water baptisms, and nowhere near. You have to ask yourself who taught us that this is baptizing and this is the correct way to do it 🤔. Romans 10: 9-10 …. He is Right! As a matter of fact read the entire chapter. If Creflo wasn’t right, then it would mention the requirement for “water” baptism in this chapter. Believing with your heart is the only absolute requirement. My thoughts are that you go to God. By faith you are saved not Works.

Baptism is works… it doesn’t guarantee you salvation not it a requirement. Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 john 3:16…. Romans 10:9-10. Explain the chapters and scriptures and why they say Faith alone is a requirement then. Being baptized by the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is done without water submersion several times in the Bible.

Just hearing the beginning of this message, I can’t listen to this. If a man of God of this caliber is misinterpreting the scriptures, it’s sad! Sir it wasn’t about out of love or following the footsteps of Jesus. Baptism was to announce Christ because John the Baptist didn’t know Jesus. So water baptism was to identify him. That was the purpose of baptism period. That people was baptizing didn’t make it right. There was a progression of revelation of God from the four gospels into the epistle. And if you read very well in the book of Act, you will see the progression and when the Christians begin to grow in church, water baptism was no longer a practice. This is sad!
