This is way better than speed cameras, no more car wash as well ;D Like and Subscribe for more original Car Pal content :) and follow on instagram for even more content :P / revvypal
Did someone say clean... if you wanted cleaned why not go to the car wash like normal people... smashing cars through a water barrier (if they existed) wouldn't be a good idea
The fact that all the cars seem to be topping out at around 100 despite their entry speed makes me think you may have discovered a new type of constant, like a water drag coefficient.
It's just a simple power in be drag which the water provides at same separating distance means yeah you'll reach a speed that will be steady, nothing special
@@Subreon no. Hitting water at a high rate of speed is like hitting concrete, the amount of surface tension water has...at 200mph that car and you would be in thousands of pieces.
Is this the reason why some real-life crash barriers are filled with water? The liquid's still encased in a plastic-ish housing, but it's more effective at stopping vehicles than air while not being an absolute hard surface like concrete.
Despite the benefits of heavy plastic being better in crashes as you mentioned the barriers are filled with water so its easier to move them around (when empty) and place them etc
yeah, me too, I was looking for a comment that surprised that specific moment. Yes, if it went horizontal it would had hit one tree, but it spinned and went perfectly vertical when the trees passed.
@@burgerbandit3646 you should see his other video, this water barrier doesn't do shit compared to the completely taking apart in other videos while the car is still moving.
The funny thing is I've made a etk with alot of realistic mods and I have made it go 550mph before the tires explode haven't found a mod that has stronger tired at those speeds
@@padrepiomotociclista8315 it doesn’t get harder, it just feels harder because it hits you at a high speed. Water doesn’t turn into solid form when you hit it really hard
What you mean is that water is incompressible like solids, which is why when you push it at a very high speed, since it doesn't have time to move away that quickly and the fact that it doesn't compress, it acts essentially like a solid. Don't jump into water from height lol, there is a risk of injury even if the water is deep enough
@@neerajoshi6593 but it can’t move faster than the object it came from because there is no energy being added to it and due to its shape and aerodynamic profile it should’ve went flying or stopped very quickly
At super high speeds, water literally just acts as a wall (don't know why but I think it has to do with compression and the water trying to push back but not sure) Water defintely makes good brakes, especially with rocket sheds (but its hard for a car without destroying the car. Also these wouldn't be impossible to do in realife just impractical.
somewhat ironically, lightweight plastic barriers filled with water are already used in a variety of road safety conditions, accomplishing almost exactly what we see in this video without having to break the laws of real-world physics; it does still damage cars some, but it's certainly a pleasant alternative when compared to going head-first into a block of solid concrete!
@@space0015 sea water is plentiful but how will the mining equipment affect the sea life around it, like it would likely pollute the surrounding water among other things
@@space0015 I don't know what you're talking about this is entirely realistic and plausible. You just have to mine the water correctly so it can maintain the desired shape
Brilliant! Just have the auto body repair shops and gas stations pay for the water barriers with all their extra profits from damage and insane gas usage (throttle has to be wide open to go 60mph). Done and done.
There's a country that uses a water barrier at the beginning of a tunnel if they need the cars to stop. It projects a stop sign onto the constant flow of water so emergency vehicles can still pass thru. It's a quicker solution than a gate or something, plus it looks pretty cool.
Where do you get your car mods from? The website I go to has a hell of a lot of really bad mods with horrible crash physics. Most of them also dont have unique sounds (Lamborghini and Rx7 for ex.)
watching cars go through multiple barriers on the highway was like watching someone get punched in the face repeatedly. also, i know its just a game but, its also beamng so i honestly expected the engines to shut off after the 4th-ish wall honestly
This could work in real life. I mean not literally trying to slowdown highspeed vehicles but just the thought of going through water would ignite the kids in all of the drivers and that would cause them to slow down and be mesmerized.
at high speed surface tension makes the wall of water even strong so when fast car hit the layer makes an impact and when JEEP has more surface area of impact also the aerodynamic design absence makes hard for jeep to cross the water wall
It’s sure that this video is purely for fun, and so is this comment I guess: 1:04 does this look safe? Look how the car loses control, look at the impact, so basically if you speed, you are likely to either damage, lose your vehicle, get injured, die, kill someone else or all combined. No words for 2:38. This is a cool, interesting idea, but there is no chance this will be applied on roads, speeding tickets, vehicle impound, driving license being made inactive are obviously better option and 1:30 will make cars much less fuel efficient, and really reduce long distance visibility, which is crucial in keeping highways safe.
Car pal: Makes water walls and they to not fall President: Thats above the laws of physics, youre arrested for your entire lifetime, even after youre dead
Water has 12 times the resistance of air. Therefore the 310 mph entry ( it's not 300 mph entry btw) turned in 272-274 mph after the first barrier 12 percent less than 310 is 272. I'm no genius pls comment where I'm wrong
Why the police should start investing on water barriers: -it costs less than road spikes -slows the car down instead of popping the tires -its revolutionary -who would wanna burst through a wall of water? Of course anybody sane enough would step on the brakes
Okay but what if Instead of having speed cameras take a picture and fine you for speeding We had a series of solenoid valve controlled waterfalls that trigger on a highway when they detect you speeding. Think about it: you don't get fined, your car gets cleaned, AND it's more amusing to watch the people who aren't paying attention!
