Last year in North East Thailand was a very dry year and this year looks to worse. Are we facing a water crisis?

Do you think the lack of water is due to the Chinese damming the Mekong and other rivers upstream?

That will certainly have an impact, but where we are lack of rainfall is the main issue combined with increased extraction from wells.

Bottled water plants scavenging the available ground water leaving little for farmers.

How did the well hold up so far?

The solar well pump has helped prevent the pond from drying up but we are now in a very hot dry season so it will be a very tough test.

Yes, but the rainy season is over now so will have to see how long it lasts
