The video isn't about fixing water-damaged laminate flooring. It's about how to prevent damage if water gets on your laminated flooring. Use a vacuum and dehumidifier are the take aways.

This is NOT about replacing damaged flooring. 🤦♀️ It’s about drying it out FAST so it doesn’t lift or bubble. Thanks for all of it. But not what I was looking for. Maybe change the title?
Our glassed-door bar fridge has been leaking because of humidity in the room. I wish I had have watched this before our laminate floor started to swell. I wonder if the damage (bubbled flooring) will subside... To anyone reading this... do NOT have a glassed door bar fridge indoors if you live in a subtropical climate (unless you have a concrete floor). This video is actually helpful if you find the problem right away but if damage discovered months later sadly with laminate flooring will probably be an insurance job.
11-10-20 Installed 900sqf of top grade vinyl flooring in my basement last yr. Remodeling taking place as I write this comment. Threw a load of laundry in before running an errand tonight, forgot to stab the washer drain line...yup, approximately 50 gallons of water with no bleach in it. So, I just got stuff out of the way and will go get a industrial dehumidifier rental tomorrow. Bummer! Cool thing is I didn't turn around and get a gallon of whiskey at the liquor store and drink into oblivion...yet.
i have bought and stored floating floor for about 12 years ..just never got around to laying til now. My question is should i put it down if it has a musky smell and white build up on edges of the boards it isnt black or wet....,,Is it mold and just something else,.......,please need advice
This video is not about fixing the floor. It's about a prevention procedure in hopes that you don't have to replace it. The title of this video is misleading.
Hi I just had a water damage leak that caused several laminate floors to rise and are not equal anymore, I called a contractor and he told me to change the entire living room even though it's only the laminate floors next to the kitchen bc in a few years I'll have more problems? Is that true or is he trying to scam me?
Now picture this, he didn’t tell you and in a couple years or so the rest go bad, I bet you would still call him complaining. Issue with self employment is dealing with people like yourself
This method is so ineffective, like putting bandaid on a bullet wound. If there is water in the cracks and seams there is water underneath my friend. You need to pull those boards.
So, basically it's not damaged and you didn't repair it. You removed water and prevented the damage from happening. You may want to change the title to "how to remove water from laminate flooring before it ruins it"
Did you actually look under the planks to see if there was mold or have it tested for mold ? Seems to me that water is going to get right under those planks and create nastiness. Your dream is appropriate but uh unrealistic !
Misleading title and insufferable video. There's nothing about fixing, just removing water to prevent damage. Played in double speed to try to get to the point...but the point never came.
Can you believe, the #2 used flooring in America, cannot get wet…at all for most part, think about how stupid that is… and mine says waterproof, haha it’s not!
How many did you down before making this video? 6-12-24 pack? 10 Seconds: Dry it and watch it. Doesn't work, replace. If it works then you are lucky you have minimal damage.
