Loved the video this was the best video of the havaii blog yet. At 8:52 Kitra would be so mad at Peter. At 12:18 that is so unfair 😭😭. At 14:17 Peter that trick is op and legit,op means overpowered. At 17:35 Kitra count me in as I am also a coneseur of fish and chips and I will do try the fish and chips from wizarding world when I visit universel studios as I am a potterhead now. the tubstone water slide was so cool and it was OP. That's all looking forward to more havaii blog videos.
I'm watching all of these videos while at work to start dreaming about our first Aulani trip in October! Kitra crying when they got to the hotel will absolutely be me!
The lazy river in” Atlantis” Paradise Island is pretty awesome.. I think I spent at least 3 days in that river.. at a fork in the river you can choose to take a side that brings you up via conveyer belt to a set of water slides that brings you back into the river .... round and round and up and down the slide... so fun 💦

The part where you two went underwater made my ears wig out from the sound, like I had water in my ears! A very fun video, lots of laughs between you two!
Those beach coves were there before Aulani and I actually swam in them long before Aulani was built. The only buildings there then were the white hotel on the left while facing the shore from the water,Ko olina, which was owned by Marriott and the wedding pavilion on the right, which is still the same.
You can do the same sort of thing with pants (jeans) and possibly save you from drowning. If you fall in water with clothes, remove pants, tie bottom of legs, throw over head by the waist and trap air, then use as life preserver for minute or so.

I am a fan of the Lazy River at the Beach club and Blizzard Beach. The Blizzard beach one I like in the summer because some of the water falls are chilled water to simulate melting snow.
@@OrdinaryAdventures Most people like typhoon lagoon better but I prefer BB because it's smaller, less crowded and they play christmas music all year ☃️. And there's more shade!

Thank you for your videos. Kept me hopeful during the pandemic to travel again. Coming from Hawai'i, it's always enjoyable to know others enjoy the islands as well. I'm so spoiled! Sorry if someone mentioned in the comments, but the Ko Olina coves were constructed in the late nineties, well before Au'lani. I believe there are 4, adjacent man-made coves, originally for 4 resorts. You can clearly see them via satellite (or Google Earth). We use to go when there was only one hotel, then called the Ko Olina Resort, adjacent to the Au'lani. Hardly anyone around. So spoiled!

Peter, I know it's been an age since y'all posted but those trees you noted are called Screw Pines (not a pine actually) and those are the roots. By the way, I love your videos and I enjoy going back through videos I missed to see your ordinary adventures.
Omg you two look sooo happy and relaxed. The beach snack hut...it serves drinks, its closed, "Kitra: Darn!" Lol! I live in South Texas, very close to South Padre Island. They have Schlitterbahn water park. It does have a few water slide rides scattered plus the Rapids section, and a hot water area with a bar included for adults only section. They actually have bar stools, warm water comes up to your waist, feels sooo good!
When we visited back in January 2020, you could go into the lazy river without a tube. I'm wondering if they did it for social distancing? Gives you a buffer between other people if you have to pass people or come close? So glad you are sharing all your Aulani adventures! It is also my favorite Disney resort!
I miss Hawaii. I went two years ago to Kauai and stayed in a resort that had a lazy river. It was an amazing trip all the way around but with all the fun tours and exploring, I think that lazy river was my favorite. Love the video! I’m so glad you had a fun trip :)

Those lagoons were there prior to Auluani .. but yes, they were man made for the other hotels near by. There are 4 lagoons there. When we were stationed there before they built this, I would take my sons there for a relaxing beach day where I wasn’t worried about them in the waves. They loved it.
Strongly considered going here for our honeymoon after the wedding this May... I think we're going to end up doing a Disney cruise if they open by then. Such a beautiful place!

I love your videos, makes me feel like I'm hanging out with you, very natural I love it! I'm surprised Aulani doesn't have a better lunch than chicken fingers and french fries though. When fancy resorts charge an arm and leg, I would think they hand bread the chicken and hand cut their fries. The food you got off the resort looked really tasty.
You may know this already but they do make short and long sleeved swimsuit tops. I like to wear them because I easily get sunburned but you could maybe get one so you don’t have to wear a T-shirt! 😁
