I have stocked up on guns from the dollar store. And my wife was walking the dogs and found a old water gun in the woods and brought that home. I love painting them!!! Great video as usual.
your enthusiasm is so damn brilliant. you bring sci-fi to life with your amazing builds. and you can't go wrong with blaster gun builds. more the merrier.
One thing that would be cool is doing your dry brush/rubnbuff silver technique over black for the worn parts and then hit those with an anodized color. Between that and black it could make for a really different effect
I did like the look of it when you sanded down the black primer. Made it look like it had been abandoned on a distant planet by one person (maybe after a battle) then discovered by another
Have you tried adding lights. I have this idea of putting an acrylic dowel near the barrel with a light so theres a visible effect so the actors and sfx crews know when the gun is firing.
i love your videos i did work on a script awhile back. but due to economical problems and not having enough people to work with i never got to do much with it. but the biggest problem is i live in norway so it is difficult to find good looking cheap stuff to use to make props do you have a tip to hoow i can get like cheap plastic toys online or something?
