Water in Dryer!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. This solved my mystery. We just returned after a two week vacation and upon checking, our house’s air intakes were clogged with tree fuzzy seed things, so the house must have been pulling air in via any way it could. Thanks again!

Great video & feedback. My question is this was happening to me, thus I just purchased a new dryer. Took the old one apart and noticed the motor might have been affected by this moisture as well ? This could also become a really bad problem ? How can you prevent that ?

Yep...I have a new dryer and there was so much water inside the drum today and it was also leaking out onto my floor. That Never happened with my old one. I just threw an old towel in and ran the dryer to solve it for the moment, but what a pain in the ass.

Wow! I was right! You just made my day because that’s what I was thinking and I’m not mechanically minded but I’m glad nothing is wrong with it. Would it be possible to put those little moisture catching containers like damp rid inside the dryer drum? Also, my lint screen is actually getting moist and is tending to rust. Should I just take it out and leave the lid open to allow air to pass through it to keep it dry? Thank you so much for your insight.

Hi Kyle, awesome video! It answered a lot of questions regarding a condensate problem we are coming across on high rise complexes. I tried calling up there to pick your brain a little more, more so on the negative pressure that can influence the condensate problem. Sir - Is there any way to get in contact with you more? The lady hung up on and didn't let me further explain why I was calling. I know this is an odd question of me asking, however everything I have come across trying to solve this issue you pretty much summed it up in latham which is awesome. please let me know if you have time where could talk, i would really love to pick your brain more on this topic. We had a water pipe burst and flooded the top of our electric Whirlpool dryer. Can the water seep through the lint trap that is on the top of the dryer? If so, does the water collect inside the dryer?

How do I fix a hole in the line running from the dryer to the vent? I went to install a new vent and saw a hole in the flex line under my crawl space

Cut the vent hose behind the dryer short enough to fit just enough behind the dryer. Usually always does the trick.
