I don’t see why it wouldn’t. CPVC too and even worse with CPVC who knows if the liquid weld would or “glue” as some call it is leeching into your potable water. I’ve asked representatives from the company that makes it if it has any chance of doing so and they of course said no. I’d like to see some research on that though. In terms of micro plastics in Pex, I’d assume it’s not as bad as CPVC which is more brittle so could flake into the water more. Pex is an interesting material it always wants to revert back to its original shape it was formed in. So maybe because of that and it’s smoothness and how long it takes to decay (basically forever) I would guess it’s actually not as bad as a lot of other things when it comes to micro plastics. Also your water tends to not sit around in your pipes for all that long if you are living in the house.
Pex is the shit a line can swell larger than a baseball and not tear its easier to install and that saves time in a world where there not nearly enough plumbers and saves the customer money. Pex rocks u can get brass if u want for fittings but idk
this is the ceiling of the first floor, either he went through the possibly wood, tile, or carpet floor above or go through the drywall ceiling. also there is no crawl space lol.
