Drilling is not required if cracks are with small gap. We need to clean the surface with water to remove the dust for better results

They say that reason for widening cracks is to know the depth of the crack, they suggest cutting out slab in v shape so the crack seal liquid fills the gaps. The slab has to be scrubbed with metal brushes to get rid of any paint or residue . The purpose of this is to allow good bonding. Even I too am in a dilemma on what to do with a leaking roof . I felt that using roof tiles like ROCO can serve the leakage issue and can reduce the temperature of top floor. The other best way out for bad leaks is to use some metal sheet shed or a PU sheet shed to prevent any water from satting on the slab or even using solar panels with proper iron sheets can solve the leakage, give free power & create an extra roof terrace space .

That solution covers only cracks area as a temporary solution. If you want full slab then go for this.

If there are cracks in the roof ,fill the cracks with adhesive.then go for painting

@@SwapnasCreatives actually firs 1) fosrgurd SBR latex liquid...with 1liter + liter water...stir it well and add 3 kg cement and stir it and apply ....after two three day 2) step .... fosrgurd complast wl extra add 200 ml in ...water for quantity of 50kg cement and sand require...one should know first how much water required for 50 kg cement and required sand ...( Mix of liquid to be made first..) all this liquid should be stir well and added to cement and sand in the end.( Big mistake of workers is ...they are adding fosrgurd liquid to cement sand water mix ...( Liquids should be prepared first) .

For covering 1200/- flat say with coverage 985 sft one has to vest at least 7 cans which is 39200/- for Brush bond roof guard 20lts which covers 150 sft... for economical RFX is much suitable...can cover in 12 to 13k

Surface Wash thoroughly, after it dried up 90% , you can paint, thick 2 coats , apply in cool weather morning or evening. It will give long lost .
